Just to echo what others have said-

I've had about 4-5 phones since 1999 and most of them were needless.

Also: unibody Macbook etc

You make me feel bad. I got my first mobile at the end of 2003 and I'm on my 4th . . . I could have cut it down to 3 if I'd just bought an iPhone when they came out.

I'm currently in a foreign country which is somehow giving me the illusion that money doesn't matter. This means I keep wanting to buy a MBP when my iBook still works great  That really would be a regret in about 6 months time

Sony PSP. Apple's iPod touch is soo much better. Too bad I can't get anyone to buy my PSP.

What model and how much? iPods cant hold a candle to the psp when it comes to raw gaming.

I rarely regret buying things because i am way too picky for my own good, but i kinda regret buying so many instruments (8 guitars, 2 drum kits, 2 basses, a mandolin, accordion, banjo, and violin). I dont have enough time to play all of them, lol.

No- and I've done just fine.

Wow man, good for you...seriously. I sometimes wonder if the world would be a better place without them.

Anyway, one thing I'm starting to regret buying is my Roomba. It works well, but only when it feels like it. Seems like more often than not, I find it stuck somewhere in the middle of the floor when I get home. I've had it replaced twice already, and I'm pretty much fed up with it.

Got my first in 2007 and I'm on my 3rd :p:p

hmmm my second car.. first car was a 84 Honda civic very sturdy for college then I got a 06Chevy Lumina WTF was I thinking crap of a car. Lasted 1 year till I got a new 07 Jetta

MacBook but now that I started grad school its a life saver

Wacom Tablet... being a graphic designer... I got it when I decided to change paths

DVDs...

clothes that don't fit (lost 15lbs and nothing fits me)

One thing I do not regret is getting gym membership because it literally change my life around to a healthier route

My GMC Envoy, now I am about 8k upside down in it due to the jump in gas prices and quick depreciation of SUV's

I got a better one for you: try my nice, low mileage Saturn SUV. It's in pristine shape but its resale value is probably effectively much closer to $0 now because of GM's announcement today that the deal to sell Saturn to Penske fell through. :(

Oh well. I don't regret the purchase, though. Just one of those unexpected paths in life.

White iBook G3. It worked great for months, then every problem that model is known to have started happening. It's near useless now, only working rarely. A great use of $370.

This made me laugh out loud. I really want a Mimi USB monitor but I'm afraid I'll regret it in the months following my ~$140 purchase...going to wait to see if I can find one on Craigslist or Ebay.

Glad i got someone to laugh... too bad it's true. It's amazing the amount of money we spend on women.

Oh believe me man, I know. If we're anything alike you surely spend a high percentage of the money you make on your significant other or just out on dates...it adds up. Real quick.

But it's worth it, right? <-- (Should get some interesting replies )

Cheap car power adapter for iPhone. I can't believe I put my iPhone at risk to save a few bucks. Started making a hissing noise when I used it. The noise messed up the phone and had to restart it. Luckily there is no permanent damage.

Nokia 5800 and my Xbox 360.

Technically, I don't regret buying them though, because I learnt a very important lesson from each: Nokia make POS phones and I don't play games consoles after owning them for more than 5 minutes.
