Nokia 5800 and my Xbox 360.

Technically, I don't regret buying them though, because I learnt a very important lesson from each: Nokia make POS phones and I don't play games consoles after owning them for more than 5 minutes.

I would disagree with you on Nokia Phones. I've only had Nokia phones and i refuse to switch to another brand. Greatest phones on the planet (well maybe not in the US).

Regret:

iPod.

Switched to a Zune, couldn't be happier!

Back in the day, Nokias were the best, but these days they're cheap tacky unreliable useless horrible crap IMO.

I guess we can just agree to disagree. Although all my Nokia's have been bought overseas, i don't know if that has anything to do with the quality.

My Mini-DVI to VGA adapter. POS thing changes all colour to blue when it is in 98% of positions. It was £8 of eBay over the £15 from Apple. I think I'll go with Apple next time.

DSLR camera when I just needed a regular camera (still can't use it properly).

Buy Michael Langford's Photography guide. 1978 edition. Not one word about digital photography. It'll cost you peanuts on amazon. You can skip the chemical and darkroom stuff, and thank me now or later. ;)

Really.
This one, but in English:

Don't feel bad about it. I bought mine new from Apple, and it goes magenta instead of blue. The damn things are defective.
We can swap, if you prefer pink over blue. ;)

Fair enough, each to their own! :)

Update on the 360: sold it, using money for a iMac G4 :D

Oh that does make me feel better about being stingy ;D although I would prefer pink if you want to pay for shipping? ;)

-V-Moda Vibe Duo Headphones. What. a. piece. of. *****.

-Original Xbox. Bought it to play Halo which i never finished and haven't touched the console since then. Love my 360 tho, no RROD, has an HDMI port and works peachy

-3GS. It technically doesn't even exists according to Apple systems due to a botched replacement warranty transfer, which means getting warranty support would be a PITA. I've tried to rectify the situation but i'm still left hanging 4 months/16 weeks later and i'm kinda getting tired of the whole ecosystem anyway. Looking to switch phones very soon. Great device...too much 'politics' overall.

These are the few that come to mind right now

I'm guessing that you guys that are complaining about no backlit keys on the macbook have never taken any kind of keyboarding class lol, I can type just fine without needing my keys to light up in the dark.

I regret buying my PlayStation 2.

It mostly just sits around unused. Virtually every game I thought would be awesome was disappointing. Other than Dance Dance Revolution, I virtually never play anything on it.

Okami is awesome, but I'd rather play the Wii version because the controls put the PS2 version to shame. Plus it's got 480p.

Dude, what? In the top 3 best consoles of all time. There are dozens of AAA games! Ico, Persona 4, Disgaea, GTA, FFX/II, Metal Gear, God of War *mind hurting*

but mine was a USB key shaped like a chainsaw.... why I dunno... saw it... went "HAHA" and sent 20$ on it. Now it sits in my drawer.... never to be used again.

Haha, that does sound awesome!

But unfortunately, I have fallen for that sort of thing too. Which is why I own 3 packages of "bacon flavored gumballs" from ThinkGeek (hint: do NOT buy these!), as well as a few other geek toys that hardly seem as fun in my hands as they did when I was reading the website. Sigh.

Generally speaking if I buy something and regret it, it goes back. I've learned to be very picky about what I do keep. In my mind, I read the question as "what have I bought, didn't decide to return, and now regret keeping?"

My Toyota Matrix. I don't really regret it, but I was leasing a RAV4 before, and I made the decision to give back the leased car and bought the used Matrix instead. The RAV4 buyout would have cost me $3,000 less and it had more space and four wheel drive too. I thought "downgrading" to a small car would save me a lot on gas. It didn't.

How about every bit of fast food I've bought in the past 12 months. Did a health screening this week and I've developed some bad habits that need to change before they get out of control and adversely affect my health.

Bye bye fast food and soda. I will miss you terribly. :( To those of you who can eat whatever you like and never gain weight or have health concerns. I hate you! :p
