I'm a bit disappointed the S1 chip is equivalent to an A5 chip. Doesn't feel very future proof. And if this bitch starts dropping frames within a year or two I'm going to be very very very upset.

Also full blown swimy water proof would be nice; I'm on a swim team.

I'm going to say not incorporating tech into the band. We know Apple will work on the watch itself over time but you can't really expect miracles here regarding battery life especially if you want gps, wifi, lte, etc later.

Funny how everyone's so eager to include GPS!
"Pleeeease, oh please dear apple, include a personalized tracker in the watch, so that the NSA knows wherever I am at really All times now!" Why don't you just implant yourself a tracker for them? ;)

10 years ago people would've thought this is absolutely crazy! Big brother anyone??

It actually concerns me just a little that the time isn't always on the display when in use, which is different to people wanting an always-on display.

I'm not as bothered as I used to be about GPS.

Battery life is my primary concern - I think it should last last a whole day even with heavy usage - people into technology like ourselves will have complaints about the current performance even though the average user would not. If it lasted 36 hours for that average use most people would still charge it once daily but anybody who uses it 'a little too much' for whatever reason shouldn't have their watch kick into power reserve mode before the day's end.

A slide-to-mute switch on the side. Just like iPhone and iPad. You can use it blindfolded.

Mutes everything on the watch and phone. No taps, no buzzes, no dings, no screen lighting up, no nothing on either device. The outside world is cut off completely and you can be in the moment doing whatever it is you need to do with whoever it is you need to do it with (use your imagination ;))

In the old days, this was called "taking the phone off the hook". The problem today is that there are so many hooks!

sleep tracking

Sleep tracking sensors and the ability for the battery to go through the night, be charged in the AM while one is showing and getting ready.. it's a real miss on the part of the fitness/health aspect that Apple SEEMS so interested in targeting and assisting.

Not so much a glaring omission in the Apple Watch, but in the accessories - the charger looks like such a chunky piece of metal. You have to take off your watch to snap it onto it to charge. It's a shame it's not a thin disc that you could slide between the back of your Watch and your wrist, if you just had to wear it to bed, or going to be sitting at your desk for a few hours. Granted, you'll be wired up like a hospital patient, but at least your battery will always be topped off.
