Is it just me, or has most of the trouble/issue questions dried up? Seems like all there is to talk about nowadays is Verizon vs AT&T and Android vs iOS.

I guess my suspicion is correct. The iOS platform has reach a semi-state of perfection. Where are the bugs?

In my old WM days, bugs were reported daily. That's not the case anymore now that I'm rocking an iPhone.

We had antennagate, and a few days of alarm clock problems. However, things have been quiet for awhile now. I'm not complaining, just curios if anyone else has noticed the lack of conversation topics on this forum?

Oh, before I forget has anyone heard yet when the iphone5 will be released?

Thanks

Cosmo

There are still a few threads reporting bugs/issues but I think they are being drowned out by the constant flow of AT&T, Verizon threads.

The iPhone 5 (or 4GS or whatever Apple would call it) is expected to be announced around June/July at the WWDC constant as it has been for the last few years.

Like what?

A commonly recurring issue is with the keyboard. It often bugs out and seems like the keyboard like shifts. So when you want to type A, and you tap on A , it'll type S instead. Seems to be reversed for the other side of the keyboard, where if I try to press N, it types B instead.

Switching between portrait/landscape doesn't fix it, neither does putting it into sleep mode then waking it up. Need to exit the app (has happened with the stock texting app the most) then re-enter to fix it.

Another thing is with wifi, I join a network and use the internet. Then if my phone goes to sleep and I need to use it a little later in the same area, it seems to forget the network and I have to type the password again. (and yes, auto-join is on and wifi networks are saved and I do not leave the wifi zone [and the signal is good when it's in use])

It sounds like you may be pressing the wrong keys, I don't have this problem?

lol no. When I'm typing fast and suddenly notice that I'm trying to press N but it's not working at all, I test it a few times and make sure I carefully press the right key, but it doesn't work until I exit and re-enter the app as mentioned above.

I wouldnt consider fatfingering a bug

Confirmed on the keyboard bug. It is hugely annoying; since iOS 4.2 I haven't been able to type worth a damn - the keyboard is horribly inaccurate, as you described. And it happens fairly consistently. It's basically as if the keys shifted 1 or 2 keys to the right or the left, so when you tap onto a button a button two keys away is pressed. The only way to fix it is to either exit the app or to hit sleep/wake.

I've also noticed that I often load SMS and the keyboard doesn't load - in its place is a blank area where the keyboard would be. Only happens once in a while. And sometimes the keyboard gets misaligned so that half of the keyboard is off-screen. I've started taking pictures of these bugs for amusement/to potentially submit to Apple if they're not fixed in the next update.

The wi-fi issue is most likely due to the wi-fi network you're trying to join, but it is possible it's also a bug.

I noticed the keyboard is a bit finnicky at time but I thought it was me. Its not a big deal though, as it rarely happens to me.
