do you think iPhone 12 Pro Max will have a weight as the iPhone XS Max or even lighter without the stainless steel?

comparison of both the 6.1 inch iPhone 12

iPhone 12 Pro : 189 grams

iPhone 12 : 164 grams

According to Apple's compare section, you're looking at a difference of 20 grams between 12 PM and XS Max. So yes it is heavier, but honestly negligible in my opinion

The (admittedly rather unscientific) route I would take:
iPhone 12 weighs 86.8% as much as iPhone 12 Pro (same size, but aluminum vs. steel) so my best guess would be that an aluminum 12 Pro Max would weigh ~86.8% as much as a steel 12 Pro Max..

.868 x 228 grams = 197.9 grams

gosh that's under 200 grams, what a lightweight on a big screen form factor. would have been good for the hands to use longterm in terms of ergonomics and comfort.
