I have 3 today.

1. Is it too hard, in the friggin' 21st century to open a bag of potato chips and have more than 12 that are not in little pieces? Surely, we can find better packaging for these. And don't you dare recommend those nasty fake chips in a can.

2. Yes, Apple "encourages" virus protection. Now ****.

3. New headphones shipping, Yeah, we got it. Now ****.

OK, I feel better now.

This morning, I received a printout of a .doc file with minor edits on it. Things like time changes for an event, or a paragraph that needs centering.

Instead of writing the changes on there in ink and handing me the paper, wouldn't it have been easier to just make the changes yourself?

Blenders - more specifically, the noise they make. Is it entirely necessary that they rival the decibels of a 747 take-off in your kitchen?

I'm making burgers for tea tonight, with a selection of cheeses.

What really gets my goat though, is people who push their way onto the train while you are still trying to get off!

People who cannot (or worse, choose not to) think for themselves. Had a power failure? Your UPS battery-backup didn't automatically come back up by itself, and needs a button pushed? Oh no, don't push it yourself. Call IT, and fail to mention the power outage, just that your ****ing Dell is "dead".

Did I mention, I am IT? And, presumably, the designated thinker. Ugh!

</rant>

IT guys who complain about users without a clue. Without them, you'd have no job. :D

WHEN in God's name are the 24" monitors going to be in the refurb store?? The matte model, too?

I need one since I can barely use my Air screen w. the horizontal lines giving me massive psycho headaches.

This can not pass unremarked upon. Specifically, what kind of cheeses?

Mmmmm...burgers with muenster, sharp cheddar, or emmental make me happy. That's one thing that I look forward to getting back to the US for, even though the cheese here is unbelievable, a half-pound burger is hard to come by. :D

My beef is a medium rare Porterhouse....that is, if I didn't have anythine else to eat for the day :D

My pet peeves:
Coffee grinders
Ice makers
Anything that makes a loud obnoxious noise
People who pass by in their cars and insist that they rattle my house, and lights with their thundering stereo system. Wish I could set up spikes in the middle of the road just for them.
My dishwasher that is so loud I have to turn my television up to deafening volumes just to hear it when the dishwasher runs
Not getting enough sleep because my mattress is lumpy
Can't drink coffee since it jacks up my BP
Football fans who hate a certain team because they don't feel another team isn't entitled to win, or move forward, even if the team is doing great this year (Yes I like the Florida Gators, but you won't catch me talking about them in the College Football forums, I don't like getting my head ripped off)
Which brings me to my biggest pet peeve....CONFLICT

It's not beef anymore, just Hillshire Farms. :D

Dry heat inside (and cold and wind outside) making my nose bleed multiple times a day

Not one for forced air myself. I am much happier with radiated heat. Quality technology too. My building is steam. The boiler was installed in the 1870's. Just at little route maintenance and they last forever.

  • Bosses who schedule meetings 10min before lunch or 10min before the work day ends.
  • People who believe that they don't occupy physical space in the universe and are therefore content to block a flight of stairs.
  • Slow people who zigzag on narrow corridors making everyone behind them move as slowly while being unable to pass through.
  • Waiters who forget to bring you silverware when they bring your meal and take 15min to get back to you.
  • Superstitions
  • Bank (or any type of) transactions/payments that can't be done online.
  • Tailgaters who are idiotic/Neanderthalish enough to stop behind you because they're so focused on being a*$#% that they can't realize that you've pulled over to let them through
  • I could go on forever :p

I just moved into a new place with central heat. It is so damn dry. I have already asked the builder to look into adding a humidifier to the unit. Said it would run about $700. I think I will do it.
