excuse yourself during the meeting and go to the appointment you made well in advance of the boss' meeting. ensure your interruption is quite... disruptive. agree with co-workers to have this happen multiple times during the same meeting until the guy is talking to himself.

1. waiting for parts on our local back-up server
2. having two problems with our secondary DNS / local utilities server
3. Keep getting calls from the same users asking the same questions because they don't read the documentation I send out or they don't listen to me in the first place or they break what I fixed.
4. I believe IT is going to result in my early death.

I really get agitated when I'm walking on campus and people stop to have conversations in the middle of the walk areas during rush times. Get out of the way. Thanks.

It does help. I was able to figure out how and why I get to that a little before I saw your reply - the verification was helpful.
My beef is a medium rare Porterhouse....that is, if I didn't have anythine else to eat for the day
My pet peeves:
Coffee grinders
Ice makers
Anything that makes a loud obnoxious noise
People who pass by in their cars and insist that they rattle my house, and lights with their thundering stereo system. Wish I could set up spikes in the middle of the road just for them.
My dishwasher that is so loud I have to turn my television up to deafening volumes just to hear it when the dishwasher runs
Not getting enough sleep because my mattress is lumpy
Can't drink coffee since it jacks up my BP
Football fans who hate a certain team because they don't feel another team isn't entitled to win, or move forward, even if the team is doing great this year (Yes I like the Florida Gators, but you won't catch me talking about them in the College Football forums, I don't like getting my head ripped off)
Which brings me to my biggest pet peeve....CONFLICT

haha so i think it is safe to say you're a teacher/professor. and i am glad you likely do not work at my high school because the majority (not including myself, because i actually do homework) of my friends weasel their way out of turning assignments in on time.
The tiny little battery on the garage-door keypad is outta juice. It's -8c outside and icy. I don't wanna fix it 'cause I have a handheld clicker. But it must fixed eventually. When's it gonna get warm enough for me to care to fix it? Huh? Huh?
Any aged shoulder cut should do just fine! The older the better, that is generally what I choose for my beef.
People who don't indicate, people who drive slowly in the right hand lane (overtaking lane in Aus), people who don't do the speed limit in general and especially people who cut you off
Why do people stand in front of doors for conversations too? Do Ley lines merge under every doorway in my building attracting simpletons?

Ughh....I hate those. I also hate it when they schedule a meeting 10 minutes before it starts.
I had a meeting at 3:00 the other day. I didn't know about it until 2:58 when the Outlook invite was sent. Luckily this was a teleconference so I didn't have to get up and haul ass across the office
My biggest beef is with the following drivers...
People who insist of tailgating you when you're going 10 MPH over the limit, obnoxious pass, cut you off and continue driving at the same speed you are.
People who think it's fine to drive 40 MPH on a 40 MPH road when there's three inches of packed snow, and then getting to the 65 MPH highway that's completely dry and people are still driving the same 40 MPH.
