temp

Temperature on my 1Ghz rev B Powerbook is sitting steady at 50.5 C computer has been on for awhile but i imagine that is fairly standard :)

Dual 1.8 G5

seems to always be at least 140F on each proc... Proc A is always hotter.

After a few hours of folding or FCP render highest so far is 147F

what is considered safe?

Wow. I have a dual 2.5 GHz G5 and I run around 86 C on both cpus. The fans are mellow. I fold *all* the time. I hear the high end of the original 130nm 970 temperature range is actually the lower range of the 970FX. I've been running this way for 6+ weeks. I consider folding a great burn-in; if it hasn't failed by now, it probably won't.

I constantly run at about 133F I haven't checked while gaming or rendering large files in Photoshop or Illustrator though. That may be interesting.

Dual 1GHz MDD, 2Gig memory, 3 internal hard drives, running Folding 24/7.

Right now it's at 58.6 degrees C (137.5 F). Though, I've modified the fans from spec to reduce noise and I sleep my machine if the room temperature gets too warm---I've seen my machine go up to 64 degrees C.
Mine is always around the same temperature when I'm working it hard (video editing, Garageband, etc.). Normal use, it's usually average 132 F.

My iBook typically runs at about 50ºC (122ºF), but at the moment, whilst ripping Mostly Harmless by Douglas Adams :D, it goes beyond 66ºC (151ºF) at which point the fan kicks in (which also happens on the rare occasion when I play a game specially Classic games).

hrm...
