Safari is my default browser, though I have Arc as a backup. I did try Vivaldi on Windows (in a VM on my MacBook), but I didn’t like the interface. Unless Arc stops working, it’s likely to stay my backup browser.
I don't know if you've tried this, but there are infinite gradations of zoom available by holding down the control key and forward- or back swiping on the mouse. At least, there are when using a Magic Mouse, I don't know about other brands.Safari for me but I really wish there was a zoom option of 90% as opposed to 100% or 85%. I've been trying out Firefox as it offers 90% and it seems to be the perfect zoom level for me on my 14" MBP but I always just revert back to Safari as I'm just so used to it.
I wish Safari would just work for me. Never does, no matter what computer or device I use it on. I pasted a valid Youtube link into it from Vivaldi the other day and Safari just sat there on a blank page and did nothing.Of all the browsers I've tried, I always go back to Safari. It works and looks great. I think it's the only browser that can hide distracting items. I do keep Firefox and Edge to test a site if Safari doesn't seem to be displaying it correctly. How dare us diss Steve Jobs favorite browser!

The only time I can get it to work right is when it's critical that I need a browser to function without plugins/addons/extensions on a government website. That's all it ever seems to function correctly on for me at least.
Well…I can't exactly recall when things were first set up, but my primary user profile has to have been created some time in 2002, 2003 or so. It's just been migrated forward all these years update by upgrade. All my other Macs have forked off of that profile.Makes me wonder about how you set things up.
With Brave Rewards, you can earn tokens (called Basic Attention Tokens or “BAT” for short) for ads you see in Brave. You can choose which kinds of Brave Ads you see and earn from, such as images on the new tab page, push notifications, and more.

Uhhhh…I've had the issue with almost every device since the launch of Safari 1.0. I do not believe Private Relay existed back then.Could be a DNS problem or a problem with Private Relay. Vivaldi won't use private relay and probably behaves like Chrome with respect to DNS, potentially skipping your local resolver. I found this

where they discuss that Google DNS servers are hardcoded into Chromium. They probably use secure DNS.
I think Safari just uses the DNS server you set in System Settings (it does on my system).
