My current Macbook Pro (15 inch 2.3 Ghz i7, 8GB RAM, 240GB OWC 6G SSD, 750GB 5400RPM Stock HDD) along with a Thunderbolt Display, iPhone 5 and an iPad 2.

Mainly the Thunderbolt display though.

I'm happy with my current 12-core Mac Pro and triple 23" monitor setup. For on the go I have a MacBook or an iPad. I can't really see anything else that would improve upon it.

As for the OS, my thoughts echo vitzr's.

I currently have the 15-inch MacBook Pro with 2.2 GHz i7 and hi-res antiglare screen. For my music making I have it connected to a Dell 24" UltraSharp display, with some Mackie MR5 sound monitors through an M-Audio interface and an M-Audio Oxygen 25 key MIDI controller.

My dream setup would be the same MacBook Pro, speakers, and MIDI controller I have now, but with an Apple Thunderbolt display, Apogee audio interface with Thunderbolt (unreleased) and a LaCie Thunderbolt Little Big Disk (also unreleased).

Oh, and an iPad 3 for reading and reviewing calendars and projects.

Sounds like a setup my mom would have. Pansy!

Be a man! >:O

I would change my current setup by...

-2011 15" MBP
-iPad 2
-Mac Mini as a HTPC and media server

I am pretty happy with my setup. I have a Windows 7 desktop pc for games that I built a year ago as well.

This is a fun one!

For me, (at least with present line up including thunderbolt display and iOS 5);

Main Setup
MacBook Pro 15" (maxed specs)
2 Thunderbolt Displays
1 (low end) Thunderbolt RAID

iTunes Solution
MacMini (low end)
1 (low end) Thunderbolt RAID

Accessories
iPhone 4
iPod touch (64 GB)
iPad (32 GB) (dream iPad 2)

Entertainment Solution
Samsung Plasma (dream LED)
Samsung Sound 5.1
Apple TV 2

Harman/Kardon Sound 5.1/7.1

*What I'm most excited about is finally being able to have a dedicated machine (mac mini) for a real iTunes server with sweet storage expansion options via thunderbolt and wireless syncing via iOS 5. I might just get a used/refurbished with a FireWire Drobo option to get me through the next few years (poor college student here). I have been using my old PowerMac G4 (Dual 1.25 MDD) with just under .9 TB, but sadly it is full of media, and loud and power hungry compared to a sleek mini.

My dream setup would be a high end 15" MBP with Hi-Res AG and an SSD. And a mac mini to use as a iTunes/time machine server. I would probably get a 27" or 30" Dell ultrasharp over the ACD, I have the 24" and love it.

It's absurd what people will pay for cables, right?

your dream setup is a MBP and a projector?

Did you notice the KRKs?

And that projector is native 1080p Blu Ray quality. Bigger and higher res than any consumer Monitor or TV on earth. 130 inch vs 60 inch? Cmon....

Also it is an ultimate 17 maxed out opti-bayed 2.3 with 8G.

Nobody posted a cooler setup than me yet...

didn't know the specs of the MBP looked like a 13 inch. Several other setups are cooler then yours here's one.

It's $100!
Coolest setup, no doubt.

Dual Cinema Displays != 130 inch 1080p NATIVE (super high luminosity) Projector

Dual or Tri Display setups are probably 2nd best but it's still a step down from a projector that is pure hugeness and makes your whole room an instant club situation.

A 15 is not more of a dream than a 17.

Also I have the iPhone 4 32 and the iPad 2 64 3G. He has, unfortunately, an iPad 1.

130 inch 1080p projector < 152 inch 4k HDTV

Dream setup:
16-core Ivy Bridge Mac Pro with 3 4k-resolution Thunderbolt Displays hooked up to 40TB of Pegasus Thunderbolt Arrays, with 10TB SSD local storage, 128GB RAM, Dual ASUS MARS II (GTX 580), Blu-ray support, liquid cooling system.
All for $100.

Love it, could we get rid of the liquid cooling, and have it be liquid metal 2.0 that can handle extreme internal temps and stay at a cool to the touch temperature. (Maybe thats the dream, along with the price tag).:)

I don't want a metal one, they dent too easily. I want a plastic one.

Liquidmetal doesn't dent, that's why people use it in sports equipments and I want it :D Also, it's darker than the current aluminum!

All metal dents, you just have to hit it with the right conditions. Weather those conditions are -140F or underwater while singing "The Hills are Alive", it'll dent.

With Liquidmetal, you'd need a car going at 60mph to dent it.
and lol xD
