For a long time (not sure if it's still the case), Coke was not the number one soft drink in Scotland - Irn Bru was.
Just isn't another drink that tastes like it. Fish Supper and Irn Bru, canny beat it.
Sugar (Mexican, international, any country without HFCS) Coke
It's 10x better with Captain Morgan in it...
I'm not quite sure if this is an acquired taste, but... DIET COKE.
There's nothing better than a chilling tall glass of Diet Cokeice sculpted up to the topwith a squeeze of fresh lime.
I don't bother with Coke Zero, Diet Coke, etc. This is not a health drink. To me, drinking "healthier" colas is like trying to smoke healthier cigarettes. There's no point.
Well, the problem with sugared drinks is the amount of calories they have. The Diet kind have no calories. So the point is getting the taste without getting the calories.
If you could smoke cigarettes without the effects of cigarettes on your lungs, then I bet a lot of smokers would switch instantly now would they.![]()
The only flaw in that argument is that, to me, Diet Coke and Coke Zero don't have the same Coke Classic taste, so I'd be drinking something that isn't healthy for me (doesn't matter if it's zero calories or not), and doesn't taste great.
If I'm going to drink something that's bad for me, it better taste good.
This isn't the same thing as smoking cigarettes without the negative effects of smoking on your health. People smoke because of how it makes them feel, not because it tastes amazing. If you could smoke cigarettes with half the nicotine, but they also caused far less of the "calming" effect that many smokers say they get from smoking, then that would be pointless to me.
