Shoes-DC or Supra
Socks-Joe boxer

For me it depends on what particular clothing I'm looking. Although, really I don't have THAT much brand loyalty. Ones I keep my eye on are...

Jeans: 7 for all mankind (my favorite), Diesel
Shoes: Lacoste, Prada
Casual jackets: 66˚North
Nicer jackets: Whatever looks good.
Shirts: American Apparel for simple Ts and Various brands button-ups

In Alaska, everybody wears Carhartt. Are you Carhartt tough?

I've heard of them and they make the best and warmest work jackets I've ever seen. What is nice about them is they're fitted so you can move because they're generally for people who are working outside in colder climates. I bought one last year for someone and was very impressed by the quality.

Me, I don't really wear name brands. I'm neither fancy enough or suited for such glamour.

I tend to just buy whatever tickles my fancy at the time. However, after a seriously painstaking day of shopping for flared jeans that fit down the thighs as well as my big ass without being huge on my waist, I FINALLY discovered Armani Exchange. Bloody expensive jeans (figures!) but they fit beautifully! Just a word for other women suffering this same indignity. :p

Other than that I don't really indulge in pretentious brand shopping.

ralph lauren
american apparel
urban outfitters (not a brand, but store...still)
levi's (510 or 511 jeans)
rvca (their stuff is really awesome or really trashy...weird)

i would love to some apc stuff but $150 for jeans is something i can't really do right now.

Converse shoes. They're probably made by some poor slave in awful conditions but the end result looks great, anyway :)

What brand are those dark grey short sleeve shirts that Jon Ive wears?

Shoes --- I wear only New Balance (come in wide sizes, and not just via mail-order but stocked in stores so I can try 'em on. And they are intelligent/conscientious enough to have foot-types linked to shoe designs... for pronator feet, supinator feet, etc.)... and there is a NB company store on W. 42 St. in NYC.

Pants --- Levis, Dockers, stuff from Barney's (NYC) big warehouse sales. (Deeper-than-average pockets: good. Shallower-than-average pockets: deal breaker.)

Shirts --- There used to be a Jhane Barnes store nearby. She took the old Jaquard weave idea and went digital with it. Some of it I love, some of it I don't. Last time I was there, I noticed that in a set of generally equivalent-looking short sleeve shirts, each one had a different fiber type or fiber mix. Apparently she adjusts that for each pattern; incredible! Even a solid color thin knit SS shirt had incredibly beautiful manipulation of textures and fiber type. Not cheap, but for important or fashionable occasions it's nice to have 1 or 2 of her things. She even makes amazing sweaters and subtle/expensive mens' suits.

T-shirts --- I want to get the bamboo fiber "charcoal" color long sleeve Tee from -- I forget -- it's either Sun Precautions or Coolibar (both make items designed to block skin-cancer-causing rays; good source for hats too). Otherwise, I prefer solid Tee colors (a little synthetic fiber mixed in w/ the cotton can be OK, all-nylon is good occasionally) to the current fad of ornate old-ish graphics. Though I'd make an exception to that for certain Tees from Barking Irons using nice real old engravings (googled online info on what stores have 'em can be outdated; it's easier to buy directly - online).

Hats --- As a person with a relatively big head, some hat stores (like a baseball hat selling chain) have nothing for me. Baseball hats' brims work for me to cut sun glare. Generic & no-logo $5.. street vendor type, usually. I wish the Sun Protection / Coolibar type hats could be found in stores, so I could try them on. On days of max. sun exposure, I probably need that sort of hat's protection.

There are a many brands that sell quality denim, far better than Armani and probably cheaper. Some examples: A.P.C (french), April 77 (french), Acne (sweden).

As long as they're not totally crap, I don't give two flying farts about the purported quality or the brand. As I said, I was after a specific fit and it was REALLY difficult to find. You better believe I eyed up that Armani store with disdain but to my surprise their jeans fit how I wanted and so I bought them.

Jeans: 7 For All Mankind
Pants: Theory

Button Downs: Theory
Sweaters: Vince
Tees: That Urban Outfitters brand.

Footwear: John Varvatos

Athletic Apparel: Lululemon
Undies: Burberry, J Crew
Socks: Smartwool

I really dislike outwardly branded clothes. It's something to do with being a unpaid walking advert I guess. Regular sandwich-board guys get paid! :) I should probably be into Muji - since i like their non-clothes stuff -but even Muji's a brand (despite their claims).

So it's whatever's on sale at the outlet mall with minimal logos, etc. It's tough: Ever try buying an unbranded baseball cap?

I tend to buy most of my apparel at Kohl's. The shirts I wear most often are Grand Slam golf polos, which is weird because I've never played a game of golf in my life and have no desire to start. I guess I like the modern, Trek-ish look of the stripes/slashes near the shoulders, especially since most of the color combos are black and a bright primary color. They are even accepted as "business casual" at my workplace-- bonus!

There's one major drawback, though: People approach me with questions at nearly every department store or fast-casual chain restaurant I visit, mistaking me for an employee. Sometimes I play along with it if I happen to know the answer to their question and I'm in a positive mood. More often than not, however, it's somewhat annoying.

I’m a bit of a fool that likes “labels”

Armani
Prada
Paul and Shark
Stone Island
Adidas
Adidas Y3
Adidas Star Wars
One true Saxon
Ed Hardy
Evisu
:(:(:(:(:(:(

Hmmm...

Sweatshirts—as long as they're inexpensive, soft, and look good, whatever.
Jeans—Hollister. They last a reasonable amount of time, and they have the best fit for me.
T's—does it matter?

And that is mostly the extent of my wardrobe.

Lucky Tees!

Nowdays I think they're just "Lucky Brand"

Anyhow they're my favorite.
Guess I'm not terribly formal.

There used to be "Keri Brand" but that was more out of necessity than desire.

Have Fun,
Keri
