IMO, there is a severe lack of good scary movies. Most are either really cheesy, have a bad (not to mention, predictable) storyline, or are just plain not scary.

The Omen was pretty good though!

I was thinking about this the other day. Do you think maybe it's not the movies not being scary but our own sensitivity to horror & violence? I mean now a days reality is even crazier than the movies. Maybe we are becoming numb to this sort of thing. - Just my dumb ramblings but it makes you wonder. 🙄

Good Point!! Perhaps that does have some bearing on why we don't find movies that scary or shocking. To support that theory - I guess that explains why I find the idea of demons and spirits and evil forces so scary in movies (because that kind of stuff hasn't been proven/disproven). They're the ones that really get me... not those zombie/monster/silly movies!

Good pick. Throw in Alien for some sci-fi scares, and An American Werewolf in London for some comedy slaughter and we've got a good evening's viewing lined up there. 🙂
