Holy thread resurrection!

How did you find this after 2 years?

Backontopic: I name external HDs but not usually internal HDs.

Computer names:

Powerbook: Excalibur

iBook: Excalibur Junior

External drive: Mini-me

B+W G3: Bluey

Girlfriend's iBook: TinyTiny

Other external drive: Oje45 - I got the drive from a spanish guy and have no idea what it means but thought it sounded funky.

Hm. Never really thought of it before. Just called mine Hard Drive and BackUp. Computer's name is... Computer. PC is just C: Drive, D: Drive, and E: Drive. Shuffle is just called Shuffle. Kinda boring that. I should change them. Someday.

And change them I have. PC is still boring, but I spiced up the Mac a bit while I test out Leopard. Tiger was just iMacHD, Leopard is Deus, Secondary is Manus, Backup is Tempus.

I'm very pretentious.

my signature pretty much says it. jenny, forrest and little forrest are characters from forrest gump. my next apple product is likely going to be named bubba or lieutenant dan.

My hard drive names are pretty generic: Mac OS X and Temporary for the two partiotions on my internal drive; Music and Backup for the partitions on my external drive.

My iMac itself, however, is called Boris (network name). It got it's name from the white hamster my girlfriend had when I got my iMac (in 2002). They were both white and round/fluffy. Well, the hamster was not fat, but it just often sat in a way that made him look like a... ehm... hairball. It was a really sweet animal, by the way. May he rest in peace under on of the big trees in the park.

I forgot. My old bondi blue iMac G3 is called Hermes. It was the world's first internet computer, hence that name for the messenger of the Greek gods. This thread just made me realise that I should start thinking of an appropriate name for my new iMac I'm about to buy soon. Any suggestions? It should be a sophisticated name. With all due respect, but I don't want it to end up being named any Scooby Doo names... :p

obviously...:D :D
