I use the ringtone from the Cisco phones from the hit TV show "24". I do this simply because I love the way it sounds, its easily distinguishable, and yet more professional enough then having a song go off in your pocket in the middle of a meeting when someone calls you.

AND BABY...AND BABY...THIS WONT GET ANY EASIER...

haha just a little scene chiodos quotes....

i use the standard crickets ringtone which seems to be the only ringtone i can hear from across a room.

another question. does anyone realize the ringtone on the iphone commercial isnt on the iphone itself?!?!?! i saw it one time and i was like dude that ringtone could actually be of use considering it sounds high pitched and loud. but not there...shame...im tired of marimba...

i also use a song called "im actual" by the best band in the world The Format.

"so can we take the next hour and talk about me...talk about me, and we'll talk about me, and we'll only talk about me"

fitting

Democracy in Kind by State Radio
Street Spirit by Radiohead
Green to Black by Rebelution

The first few bars from "American Baby" by Dave Matthews Band are a great ringtone. I also have the beginning of "Demons" by Guster and "Treat Yo Mama" by John Butler Trio. I don't like having words in the ringtone, and all 3 of these songs have nice bright guitar intros that cut through the noise but also sound good. And are 3 kick ass bands!

- the opening of Fox On The Run (The Sweet)
- the synth solo at the end of Lucky Man (ELP)
- the section of Peaches En Regalia (Zappa) starting at about 2:05
- the open of Over Under Sideways Down (The Yardbirds)
- a comp I made of David Lee Roth's vocals solo'd out from Runnin' With The Devil (search youtube if you haven't heard this yet!)

different strokes for different folks!

Standard Ringer- "3 Plus 4" by El Ten Eleven
Family Members- "Message in a Bottle" by The Police
John- "Nebula" by Incubus
Andrew- "People" by Jon McLaughlin
Adam- "The Pretender" by Foo Fighters
Steven- "Typical" by Mute Math
Tyler- "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin
Collin- "Through the Fire and Flames" by Dragonforce

And last and certainly not least:
Girlfriend- http://youtube.com/watch?v=f2b1D5w82yU

I was just thinking, is it possible to send people ringtones made in GarageBand? It'd be cool to make a site for iPhone ringtones if people wanted to download them, but I'm not sure if that's breaking any copyright laws or not.

I've always wanted to use the Imperial March for someone I don't like. If I could find a good quality version of the elevator muzak Imperial March from Family Guy's Blue Harvest, I'd use it for someone.

Motorcycle of course!:D

PLEASE POST MORE OF THEM, PLEASE? Thanks

I still have to learn how to import my own ringtones into the iPhone, but for right now I use two:

My wife - Alarm (i think it suits her)
Everybody else - "Pass the Dutchie"

I randomly use different ringtones based on my mood at the time. Here are a few:

1979 - Smashing Pumpkins
Amerika - Rammstein
Around the World and One More Time - Daft Punk
Call on Me - Eric Prydz(General ringtone)
Extremem Ways - Moby
F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X - The Fall of Troy
Halloween theme -
Mama I'm Coming Home - Ozzy (Mom)
I Want to Rock - ?? (Dad)
Sweetest Girl - Wyclef Jean (Girlfriend)
Wonderwall - Oasis

I have the iPhone commercial background music. The title of the song is Perfect Timing by Orba Squara.

By The Seaside stock ringtone

Too cheap to buy a new one, too lazy to make one.

I've got a few that are assigned to specific contacts, but my generic ring is the tone that was the background for the title card of LOST. I almost always have the phone on silent, but the other night I was in bed with the lights out, and that ring sounded and I freaked out. I think I'm going to change it.

I changed my mind. Downloaded the Pink Panther theme from Zedge and made it into a ringtone with GarageBand last night. It wasn’t as much of a hassle as I thought it would be beyond my indecisiveness leading to me looking for the right ringtone for over an hour lol

My default ringtone is now 30 seconds of silence.
Anybody in my address book is assigned to Scotland the Brave.
I have a few exceptions for family members:
Wife gets Crazy Train by Ozzy.
Mother in law got El Deguello.
Son: Austin Powers theme.
Daughter: Psycho Social by Slipknot.
