My IQ was measured in an official MENSA test at 186 😕 - I was invited to join, but declined as the people I met at the test centre were some of the most boring self-important people I have ever met. OK, my IQ makes me (officially) a Genius - but what does that mean in the REAL world - Nothing - I make as many F**KWIT decisions on a daily basis as someone with an IQ of 4 (an Ameoeba ?) and so it means nothing at all. !

MENSA -- oh boy. Back in college a friend of mine was a member, and he'd occasionally drag me along to meetings. What a collection of oddballs. Not that I have anything against oddballs, but I didn't meet many MENSA members at these meetings who struck me as particularly interesting. Based on an IQ test I was given as a child I could have joined, but given the exposure, it was certainly not a compelling organization from my point of view. This friend incidentally was a bright if eccentric individual whom I quite liked (probably one of the few, I might have been his only friend at college). I was curious what had become of him, so I tracked him down a few years back. He seemed to be clinging to the bottom rung. It was kind of sad. I hardly knew what to say.

So I guess MENSA membership and $3.00 still gets you a latte at Starbuck's.

In all seriousness, I have no clue. I don't think I've ever taken an IQ test. My IQ was high enough to know not to give my e-mail address to that IQ test someone linked to earlier.
