Strewth!, None of you guy's know how to talk English properly anyway.

I mean, a Tomato is a tomato, not a "tom-May-toe"!. Get the English right, then worry about the "Accent".

(Please don't shoot me.:D)

I would have to say Northeastern - NOT New England - since I don't care for the southern accent, and haven't singled of any others.

I actually prefer my ancestral Scottish accent...

I'm not fond of southerners in general, it's not the accent that bothers me so much, rather the manner of speech.

I can't really say that I have a favorite American accent.

Another thing I don't like though is when "a" is pronounced "er" like Montaner for Montana. It's an a, what's so hard about pronouncing it like one?

Has to be the Bostonian accent, but then again, I might be a little biased on that one, and yes, I do pahk my cah in Hahvahd yahd.

for me it is the Texan Accent that I like the best. Then again I am from Texas. It is one I can understand fairly well.

As for the southern Accent from states like NC that is hard for me to stand. This summer for 3 months I had to deal with it.

Now I do not carry much of Texan Accent/ Just enough that if I am a more northern state that it seems to be able to be picked up on. It is a word here and there that have the Texas Draw on it.

Now any one who is from one of the large cities and grew up in a middle class or better educated family is not going to carry one. Mostly because there parents are going to come from some fair distance away and a lot of the people who live there will come from all over. These factors add up to start killing the accents. I am from Houston area with parents from OK and MO so a lot of any accent I could have would of been killed off.

Doesn't the Boston accent sound little familiar to the British accent?

There is no cooler accent than canadian/scottish 50/50 mix.

IMO strict bbc english comes in a close second assuming the person does interesting things with it, aka doesn't read the news, language is fun.

If I were forced to pick an american as in US accent it'd be deep southern spoken with authority, I may have possibly watched too much "walker" texas ranger....

I've lived in New York City all my life and I don't really think that I have an accent to be honest.
I think that it really depends on where your parents grew up, if your parents grew up in an area where they wouldn't have an accent, then you probably wouldn't have an accent. I'm half & half, my mother grew up in Weymouth, and doesn't really have an accent, but my dad grew up on Savin Hill (Stab & Kill) for the 1st half of his childhood and I probably got most of my accent from him.

Gotta love my own accent, Mid-western/hick. Dislike California accents, especially the people who speak it. Majority of the people I've met that are from there always look down on others with hickish accents.

California D-Bag - "Hey say 'Wal-Mart' "
Me - "walmart"
Cali DB - "hahaha you are such a redneck!"

I just watched Quinceañera and was reminded how sexy Californian-Latino accents are.
