While not exact, that's pretty much how it works. It's just another forum on our list. We mark the thread as handled when it's being handled.

Thanks, now I understand. It would have been cumbersome to do, what I thought (going to Mac Basics sub-forum just to vie the reports for that forum).

As you already hinted at, making a topic about that issue, would it be okay to make a topic about the inner workings of this board, to get to know the routine of mods?

For example, as you login (if you have to do that), what pages you have to go to, what deeds you have to do, how many reports one or all mods have to solve in one day, how is it getting divided (FIFO?) and so on.

As I'm a curious person (I think), I would just like to know.

Probably not... there is some stuff that we generally just don't talk about because of various reasons... for instance if we spoke about how we prevent spam then the spammers would read and adjust. Not that it's super top secret or anything but the problem is we could probably only relay let's say 75% of the picture... which would leave obvious holes and questions that we wouldn't be able to answer... and then people would infer things and blah blah blah...

Ultimately it's not that interesting.

Thanks, I understand. I wasn't going to ask about SPAM filtering or such stuff, more like what routine the mods have, like you have asked us.

Anyway, as this board uses VBB forum software, I can at least read some technical details (reports, warnings, overview of what is going on, communication - behind the scenes stuff) in the manual I guess?

There should be a movie about the life of MacRumors Forums, so there would be a Making-Of or such. :)

Usually I got to my UserCP to view threads I've subscribed to (I subscribe to every thread I post in) and read any PMs if I have them. Then I'll venture into the post reports and/or take care of any behind the scenes stuff... if I still have any motivation left I might read some forums. Then I hang out on the spy. Depends on my mood and how long post reports and such take. Not terribly interesting I'm afraid.

I usually start off by clicking my Subscriptions bookmark that's I've put in my Bookmarks Bar. Then, I check out dmr727's latest dick joke, and then head over to Forum Spy.
