I have a second line with the IP4s so that's 5/27/2013, but I can upgrade to the iphone5 next year on my first line after 4/10/2012

My upgrade date with Verizon is gonna be sometime in July 2013 (depending on when my 4S arrives). However, I used my dad's upgrade, and I'm not sure if he's getting a new phone, so I may be able to upgrade again on November 19th (I obviously wouldn't since I just ordered a 4S, but for when the 5 comes out I can).

5/8/13 hope whenever 5 is coming they move me up like they have for the last two years.

I am not worried at the moment.

Not until 6/13. Going to be a loooong wait. Hopefully I won't be regretting committing to the 4S for two years with LTE exploding.

6/13/2013 - Verizon

Got it on launch.

We will just have to revisit this question next year.

Let's just say AT&T along with Sprint, Verizon, have all followed each other. $325-350 ETFs. Sprint and Verizon already getting rid of their 12 month upgrade.

Here is one of links about AT&T upgrade change (no more 12 months upgrades).

Again you get this one last upgrade (if eligible). But everyone will have to wait from now one.

This policy changed went into effect in the Spring 2011 as I stated.

I have been with AT&T for 5 years now and always paid on time. I will be a little frustrated with them if they decide that I can't upgrade after 12 months. I will be calling a manager and see if they won't at least waive it this one time for the iPhone5 when it comes out.

i see a mass carrier switching when the 5 comes out ;)

i already plan to switch to verizon if the 5 is LTE (unless at&t has LTE in my area and somehow lets me upgrade cause ill miss my unlimited data but that's about it)

i'll sell my 4s for the price of a subsidized 5 and just eat the ETF (half by that point) works out the same financially cause if i wait for the "5s" I won't have an ETF but the 4s value will be down. and i miss out on the 5 in the meantime

I keep on posting that AT&T did away with the 12 month upgrade.

I even provide links to show AT&T changed the process. There is also an official link of the AT&T website that shows 20 months.

It's like people are in denial. (about the removal of the 12 month upgrade).

Sprint, Verizon also got rid of 12 month upgrades.

It's like all three bug carriers had a big huddle together and decided to follow one another by eliminating these 12 month upgrades.

There won't be a mass carrier switch.

Many people have family lines all in different stages of contracts.

For single lines it's easier to switch but family lines will be not cost effective to switch.

Verizon Had to build up their LTE network cause they don't have hspa 42mbs speed to fall back on like AT&T can do with a software switch on their hspa towers.

Mine says May 2013. However, I've upgraded from the iPhone 2->3g->3gs->4 and was able to upgrade every year no problem. this is the first time it's put my eligibility upgrade date that far away. Kinda sucks. Probably gonna just sell the iPhone 4S and pay the difference to buy the iPhone 5/6 whatever they call it when it comes out.
