wait and see what happens at WWDC, and then get my cash and macbook and wait in front of local att store day before launch:]

Well it all depends on what WWDC brings...can AT&T users with iPhone 3G upgrade for the lower prices(199/299)? If not, how much are they?

Of course, what day its due out is important too...although I figure I'll be in line for one on day one either way!

This is assuming something else Apple releases doesn't put it ahead of a new iPhone

If Apple/AT&T do it the same way as last year (which I hope they do), I'll just sell my 3G and buy the new one at the subsidized price, like I did last year.

I don't know if I want to buy one from the first shipment. There's always problem with the first batch. This will be my first iphone so I'll probably line up and buy one.

My mom, who I share a family plan with, is due for an upgrade, so I'll have her extend her contract but put the new iPhone on my line, and then sell my old one.

I used to have the original iphone(owned for 14 months) and sold it for $200 last week so that I can buy the new one.I hope they sell it for 199/299..

Do u think I got a good price?

nope, at least $300 and that's going pretty low if it's in good condition. I've been searching like crazy for an original iphone but they're all $350+ cracked screen iphones are at $250 - $300.... sigh

I'm on T-Mobile so I'm waiting to see what the new iphone is and how much it costs. If it's worth it for me to break my contract with T-Mobile and sign a new line... we shall see..

I am planning on getting the new one at what ever price I have to pay. Then unlocking/TurboSim my 3G. I will use it until I can unlock/TurboSim the new one then I will give it to my GF to use while overseas.

I still have a year to go on my iPhone 3G contract but I don't care. I'll pay full price ($700?) for the 32GB model, give my 3G to my wife (to use as an iPod; she doesn't want an iPhone) and give my iPod touch to my two year old son to play with. Win, win and win. :D

I bought my iPhone 3G with new AT&T account in March, with the full knowledge of a new phone possibly coming this summer. By the time all the bugs will be out of the new phone, I'll still be using the well established 3G, and will eventually evaluate any advantages or disadvantages of owning the new model.

Same here, exactly :D
