Recently i've been feeling that I need to have a vice, and it sucks.

I see others around me and think they all have vices too.

For example, years ago I used to smoke weed. Almost daily. Then I managed to tone that done to virtually no weed at all. Then it kinda toned done to drinking alcohol; not a lot, just a drink or two. Aside, i've never been a drinker nor have I ever really enjoyed alcohol. Then, more recent times I'll go for the Monster energy drinks.

During my pot-addled days I had friends who smoked weed all the time; then stopped, but only to smoke cigarettes. They offered but have never touched one and see no appeal to it. Besides, we all played football one day and they were all winded; needing to take a cigarette break. :p

My closest buddy used to smoke weed to..but then stopped..and transitioned into the world of wines. He doesn't drink it to get drunk; just likes to try all the varieties...but he does do this nightly. Whether w/ his GF or by himself.

My pops is the biggest carnivore I know, always a sucker for either a heart clogging steak or greasy fast food.

Rather than ranting I'll just say...recently i've felt that it seems everyone has a vice and most likely it's one of the following:

Weed

Cigarettes

Food

Caffeine

Alcohol

..Filipino Hookers.

Just kidding on the hookers.

Kinda.

Kidding, lol.

I love gaming, MMOs especially. I have to stay away from computer games, they're like a drug to me, but every once or twice in a couple of years I'll snap and go on a binge for a few months. Drive the gf crazy, drive everyone crazy. Complete and total hibernation. Sad really at my age.

Other vice is cars, I love watching videos of cars going around the Nurburgring especially, listening to the engine. Really a bit sad too.

I count both those as vices because they waste time doing things that are productive.

Ex-vices

Smoking
Drink
Drugs
Skating (time wasting)

Did a lot of nutty stuff when I was younger - never slept with a hooker funnily enough.

Uhm... probably caffeine? And buying stuff I dont need.

nice pic..you beat me to it!

I can only think of two things that for me would be vices, and by vices I am thinking of things I do to excess in almost a complusive manner.

1) Drinking expensive coffee.
2) Spending ridiculous amounts of money on things I dont need, and the subsequently end up sitting around the house.

 That's me exactly.
I really love spending money on things that are nice to have, but useless for me. e.g. ive pretty much maxed out my MBP now even though I basically just browse the internet on it and occasionally use photoshop.
And coffee... Thats a vice I've only had since the beginning of the year. Last year I was like "God I hate coffee snobs. I mean, isn't all coffee just coffee?". And now I'm a coffee snob. heh.

-Smoking (previous attempts at quitting have not gone the way I would like)

-Caffeine (in the form of Diet Coke's)

-Drinking (Usually out with friends every Friday night, probably more so now that Football is back. I would like to cut down, but this is really the only thing I don't need to spend money on, that I do)

I'd say my worst vice is being tight with money right now, only because I have to be, I have less to live on than I did in college. 50 a week on groceries, one lunch out per week, and one night of dinner/drinks a week. However, I'm hoping all this will change soon.

Glad someone mentioned Filipino hookers before I did. I wouldn't want to look desperate.

But seriously, whisky, coffee, and green tea are things I like to drink often.

And Thai hookers are better, and they give better massages.

Coffee (majorly addicted)
Rum and Coke, Martini's, Long Island Iced Teas, etc. (socially only)
Major impulse shopper

Ex Vices
Cocaine (gave it up 8 years ago)
Pot (gave it up 30 years ago)

The only things I can think of is wasting money and being lazy. Although I have been thinking about messing around with weed.

Exvices
Used to play a lot (At most 13 hours a day )
And For new years I was going to try to only drink water. Nothing else. Broke by the end of the week on accident :(. But now I drink water instead of chocolate milk at lunch. Which is slow progress. But this thread kinda makes me want to kill off everything else completely. I'm going to try it again now :).

crack, crystal meth, moonshine, heroin, coffee, coffee grounds (chew on them with my teeth), cocaine, pills, etc, etc

How funny! Mine is new gadgets for women!
I looked up vice in the dictionary, and if I choose to define it as "a habit or weakness," (cause I don't consider any of these as "flaws, faults, bad habits, etc.") then here's my list...

1. My Dawg
2. Port
3. Rollerskating
4. and gadgets for women as well ;) (since vice #1 is away for the month, i need to buy batteries :(:p)

Edit: I feel the need to add MR in concert with #2.

I'll be a woman for a day.

Alcohol. I don't drink often but when I do, I drink until I don't feel feelings. Like last night I had a wine party at my house. Unfortunately I am feeling it this morning. Drank wayyyyyyyyyyyy too much.

My other vice is most likely women. When in a relationship I am committed but when out of one I want to hump anything sexy I run in to; and usually do. I'd elaborate but it's ridiculous.

well you are right everyone has their vices, I became an alcoholic in the marine corps after 2 deployments, I had to have a drink every day whether it be a 6 pack or a 12 or a handle of Crown Royal, everyday was the weekend for me and that cost me a lot of money.

I was also smoking a pack a day, I don't drink as much anymore as I took an alcohol dependancy program for a month and that helped a lot and I use to see a psych about my disability.

I do still smoke though, a pack every 3 days which is an improvement I guess..
