For me I would just be happy if they support Callkit on the Watch so we can get Whatsapp Calls on the watch.Finally….
Now where’s the Apple Watch app?
META? What’s ultimately truly private. Are messages truly E2EE if WhatsApp is collecting user content?
Yes, you can have E2EE while collecting metadata e.g. timestamps, sender/recipient info. Are messages truly E2EE if WhatsApp is collecting user content?

WatchChat does the trick very well! Finally….

WA Business works with my iPad app…what was the error message you got? This is much much needed in my place. Without WhatsApp, my iPad Pro (M4) is incomplete!
Whether WhatsApp Business or another instance is allowed in the WhatsApp? I know multiple accounts are allowed only in Android mobiles, but checking to ensure that I am not left out in this dual WhatsApp game!
Checked, NOT POSSIBLE to have two accounts or instances or WA Business in iPad!
I've just switched off my iPhone and WhatsApp still works on my iPad.Totally pointless, for me at least. I thought it is an autonomous application that could replace Skype for calls from an iPad, but it needs a phone to be linked to and run. Am I missing something here?
Well, this still means that you need a phone and an existing WhatsApp account. I have neither. I thought I could just set it up and use it right away on the iPad, like Skype in the past for example. But it seems impossible without a phone. Thank you for the tip though.I've just switched off my iPhone and WhatsApp still works on my iPad.
You have to scan the QR code from whatsapp on the iPad once, then your iPad is connected and you can also make calls. I can finally use my iPad mini 5G as an iPhone!
You can't do it without a phone, because your number has to be verified, otherwise how is the system supposed to send your messages to the world? I know many people don't want to allow Meta to link their contacts. Here in Europe you just can't do without whatsapp, probably 75% of all people use it.Well, this still means that you need a phone and an existing WhatsApp account. I have neither. I was checking whether iPad itself can have WA Business in addition to WhatsApp messenger like you have it in iPhones. Dual WhatsApp messenger instances. WA Business cannot be installed in iPad.WA Business works with my iPad app…what was the error message you got?
Ah, gotcha. Yeah, one of the instances will have to be the web app.I was checking whether iPad itself can have WA Business in addition to WhatsApp messenger like you have it in iPhones. Dual WhatsApp messenger instances. WA Business cannot be installed in iPad.
You are right on WA Business in iPhone pairing with iPad WhatsApp Messenger. My question is about dual WhatsApp.
I don't know how. Skype worked without a phone number and it even provided the possibility to send messages and make calls to phones, mobile and landlines. Of course SMS and calls through Skype costed money but it was a very interesting and handy option to have. You can't do it without a phone, because your number has to be verified, otherwise how is the system supposed to send your messages to the world?
I don't use any kind of social media and I don't have contacts either (being phone-free). I simply wanted to have the means for some phone calls and messages when necessary, mostly during travel, which for me is just a few times per year at most. Buying and using a mobile phone just for this, obviously does not make any sense. I thought for a moment that WhatsApp was a real replacement for Skype but unfortunately it is not even close (for those without a phone that is).I have been using it since before it was bought by Meta and to be honest I have no concerns, I don't use facebook, whatsapp is the only Meta product I use.
Of course it only makes sense if your contacts also use whatsapp, otherwise you can't call them on it.
This. I’m happy for iPad users, but the lack of WhatsApp on Apple Watch is a huge pain.
Literally this is the only app that I really miss and need on my Watch, every single day.
How hard can it be?!
