I’m lost why What’sApp gets such positive promotion here on the regular?

Because literally everyone uses it in vast portions of the world. It's the 'standard' messaging app for Europe, Asia & Africa. It's the number 1 social app and has been for years.

Here in Ireland and the UK, everyone uses Whatsapp, regardless of age. If Zuckerberg ever did a Twitter on it, it would be devastating

i do get WhatsApp-2.23.13.78

Tried again but no sync - qr code changes right at the beginning when trying to connect and then its stuck. Reinstalled Appstore Version - worked easy and fast

found the culprit - was using WhatsApp business beta - won't synch with silicon beta

I tried this back in January and it was absolutely awful, full of bugs and impossible to report them because the bug reporting method was broken.

Is it any better now?

It still crashes after just scanning the barcode. It shows downloading messages and then crashes. Worked amazingly well for a few weeks and now it just wont start. Whats happening?

My version (originally downloaded from the WA website) is still Intel-based. Do I need to overwrite it manually with the native version, or will it ever update automatically?

@ least the Pictures are Bigger now and i can Size the Text in App Messages.......like that.

Agree - Every iOS user I know uses WhatsApp over iMessage

Don't be so hard on our American friends, they do not understand the world outside of their bubble. Some do, hopefully enlightenment will spread.
