Cannot install whatspad

Hi,
I get the following when trying to install Whatspad.

CANNOT COMPLY

Note: The requested modifications cannot be applied due to required dependencies or conflicts that cannot be automatically found or fixed...

what might be the problem? Thanks,

Like the others, I haven't found a way to get the app onto my iPad2. Going to play with this again today and see what happens.

Update: I found the configuration utility for Windows (i'm on Windows XP). Unfortunately, when you try to add an application the "browse folder" window doesn't display the applications after I arrive at the correct folder. Nothing opens up.

Damn...just damn...

Help!

Lee82UK,

Whatspad worked great for me, and I've been running what'sapp on my iPad 2 v4.3.3 for a week or two now.

Today I downloaded a game off the app store, and when I went to sync the iPad is started saying "This computer needs to be authorized or else the app Whatsapp will be removed from this device" or something to that effect. Then when I authorized it it told me that the computer has already been authorized! But the original pop-up remains, until I pressed cancel! No new apps would syn to my iPad, until I clicked de-authorize and of course it removed Whatsapp!

Now it refuses to put Whatsapp back ON to my iPad stating that Whatsapp is not compatible with my iPad, regardless of reinstalling WhatsPad...

NOW, I can't even search for Whatsapp on the app store through my iPad! It's like it doesn't exists. Won't even come up under the iPhone Apps category :(

Please help! One of the biggest reasons I got the iPad when I did was because I needed to use Whatsapp on it in the field where my iphone gets no service, but my ipad on a different provider does :(

Feel your pain, man. Got the same thing, the only difference is that I didn't do jack about it, didn't click "de-authorize" cause I kinda smelt what the outcome would be.

Didn't even realize that no new app could be synch'ed with my mbp. But you know what, I don't really care for now. Pros and Cons, hell, having a working whatsapp on my iPad beats being able to synch any of my new apps with my computer (my bro lives 5500 miles away, Whatsapp helps a lot). Come to think of it, provided that the iTunes Store keeps close tab of my purchasing history in case I have to reinstall iOS, I don't even see why I'd need to synch any of my new apps with my computer.

That is, untill iOS5 and their iMessaging thing comes out. That'll replace whatsapp for me.

You guys installing the ipa file with installu(hewhocannotbenamed)?

If so, in installu go to settings turn off iTunes sync. Also choose remove metadata. Reinstall whatsapp.

My problem has to do with running whatsapp and then trying to share location picture etc i usually crash out of the app. Sometimes it works thought. It seems to be random. Anyone else getting crashes when trying to share something with a contact?

Whatsapp just doesnt install!!

I followed the instructions at http://pastie.org/2281838. I have the configuration utility working fine and whatsapp is added. It shows the iPad but when I try to install Whatsapp, an error window pops up.

Whatspad is installed on the ipad. That part was a breeze. But I just can't get whatsapp to install on the ipad2.

Please help.

I faced the same issue. You can drag and drop the application from the iTunes Media\Mobile Applications folder.

I got WhatsPad successfully installed in my Gen 1, 3G iPad, following the instructions at pastie. Now I need to tell my Contacts to install WhatsApp on their devices. :)

However, immediately after the install of WhatsPad, an update is shown for the app. But when I chose "upgrade," it says something about dependencies conflict???

WhatsPad's version is 0.0.2 in Cydia, and I'm on 4.3.5 JBed.

Damn... i wish i had read this thread earlier.

installed whatsapp perfectly on my ipad 3 wifi, but now the app on my iphone deactivated and is saying there has been too many attempts to authorise whatsapp, try again in 40+min:mad:

Now reading you can't have it installed on both devices with the same number defeats the purpose imo, will now have to uninstall:(

I followed the guide on redmond pie.

I removed it now, didnt see the point as you cant have it running simultaneously. It looked that way in the youtube vids, oh well

so i got it set up using the redmondpie tutorial and just wanted to mention a few things i ran into.

first, using full force, there's a big white space between the keyboard and the chatbox, and the name is white on white.

also i tried to use the same number on my phone as the one on my ipad and messages get lost, better to have one number for each device.

thanks.

I have the whatsapp working with different number on ipad though when i connect to itunes, the itunes immediately remove the app saying there is some conflict.

Its works fine if u dont have the installows in sync with itunes

There is a problem with installing this. iTunes detects the app and asks to authorise the computer before you sync. If you don't it delete the app and therefore you can't sync unless you delete it.

I've tried edited the info.plist file where it checks the device you're using but it still won't work. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

yeah the article I read was from redmondpie. It tells about the same method to get it on iPod. And apparently it has worked right for people. So I am wrong. Do you know how to get WhatsPad?? That is the only thing I want to know now. And, thanks for the suggestion.
