That's why this site is called "MacRumors". I don't think there's anything wrong with the current iPod classic. It is what it is - "Classic". If Apple had any plans to turn it into an iPod touch, it wouldn't be very "classic" would it be? I'm merely speculating about what they COULD do. I hope they keep it as is.
I hope the future of the iPod classic brings about a brighter screen, perhaps a bit higher res., a thinner case, and larger capacities across the board. Maybe even color options.
I predict that in 10 years or so, we'll see an iPod classic that's thin like the iPod touch, in gigantic capacities (flash).
The only thing that I would find very very useful is a better battery life, now it has about 3-4 real life hours of video play back, it would be great if it were 8-10 hours, so you really don't have to charge it when you are in a airplane etc, would be amazing!

Agreed. The music battery life is unreal though. I have used it for hours on end with EQs and haven't had to charge for weeks. I get to half power after 6 or 7 days.
