It seems to me to get the best value, I should be looking to sell it now, the downside is I need to then use another phone while I await the arrival of the new models. I'm not sure of that will be viable so I'm probably going to hold off until after the new models are released. At that point I'll sell it, though the value of my phone will decrease.

Yup couldn't agree more, put mine on eBay a few weeks back and people were offering really good prices but I know it will go down so much more once I'm ready to actually sell it

With the poor distribution of the MacBook 12" and Watch, I'm not sure I'd want to take a punt on getting rid of my phone until I had the new one in hand.

...and a "never" button. After release would imply I'm going to sell. I've got two iPhone 4's to get rid of and it's hardly worth my time.

you'll be better off saving them for an upgrade offer. i.e. trade in your old iPhone and get this deal.
Some people even buy an old iPhone off eBay, craiglists etc to get those offers as it works out good for them

I will let go my 6+ when apple come out with 7s.. Haha now im very happy with 6+ , for me on off button not a bigger issue.. The are a lot advantages

Sold my 6+ due to a few design issues and specs. I tried the 6 but hated the 720P screen, not as crisp as the 6+. I might upgrade if theres some good major upgrades. I not most likely will wait for the 7.

So what are you using now if you sold your 6 Plus and hated the 6?

Not gonna sell, just keep as a spare phone or pass onto a family member. But in regards to buying the S series, will see if a 4incher comes out.. then I'll buy.

Sold mine gold 16g 6 2 weeks ago. I see the best time to sell locally is prior to release. The market is flooded with them after release.

I prefer handing them down to family or friends that really need a phone. Or using them to test stuff I built.
I am not planning on getting the S model this time. First time I haven't bought one, but I really like my 6 Plus and don't see a reason to upgrade. I also spent my annual "Apple fund" on the Watch. I'll wait for the 7

I'm using it as a chance to try android for a couple of months. My thought with the 6+ is that the current model is going to become an albatross. With the new Series 7000 aluminum construction nobody will want the regular 6+ due to it's bendable nature. I can see the questions now trying to sell the 6+, and it will only get worse. I think it will go down as one of the least resalable model in a few years. IMHO.

Yeah, the market value for the 6+ will not be as high as most people would think, about a year or two from now. If you go Android, please stick with a stock Android device (Nexus or Moto) as skinned variants are inevitably crap. Or, at least, they slow down considerably after a month or so.

Being on AT&T Next, I will turn in my Galaxy S6 once the iPhone S6 drops.

I plan on purchasing the Apple Watch the same day,

They could basically move the power button anywhere and it would be better. Actually, a few millimeters up from where it is would have been the worst. What were they thinking?

I'm probably going to wait for the 7S if not the 8. I bought the 128 GB 6 and I'm very happy with it.

iPhone 7 - 2016
iPhone 7S - 2017
iPhone 8 - 2018

That's a looooooong time to wait for a new iPhone! Hopefully they'll still support the iPhone 6 in 2018 (but I'm guessing with the 1GB of RAM it has, support will end in 2017 with iOS 11)

Should I sell it now on eBay or sell it to my coworker... Ugh i hate eBay fees. They are the most stable but I hate their fees.

after release. i don't have another, older phone laying around to use AND, even if i did, i have no interest in using an older phone. i'll use my current 6+ until i get my new one and then sell my 6+.

On 2 upgrades i had to use an old razor flip phone for a few weeks
I used a sim adapter
Talk about suffering
