When can the iPhone become as thin as the iPod touch?

Personally, I feel like if it gets much thinner than the current iPhone 5 I could see it bending causing lots of problems and complaining.

They could go iPod touch thin with out bending problems. As battery technology advances. Processors become more efficient. Solar panel displays. We're just getting started, sky's the limit.

I might be an exception, but I don't understand the craze with making things thinner. When do you say enough is enough? I think it's fine.

I disagree. Go hold the new Galaxy S4. So thin and light, its great despite being mostly plastic.

The iPhone could be even thinner if Apple made the screen sit flush with the frame...à la iPad Mini.
