Then the problem doesn't exist anymore. Because it was fixed with the update, so you could not have had the problem if you did it day 1.

He said the update didn't work... You sound like one of the Verizon reps he was talking about. Lol

On the JD powers Verizon has been bottom of the big three in customer service fairly consistently.

Just happens to be that guy, i called verizon support the other day and the guy i was talking to was the man. He fixed the issue i was complaining about and said sorry about it even though it wasnt his fault

Just remember next time that when you buy a phone under a secondary like to ask for an extra sim card so you can call and activate the sim under the correct line. Good Luck!

Not all Verizon people are rude. I bought my iPhone at an apple store under a different line, the guy at apple made me activate it ( didn't want to but oh well). I walked over to the Verizon store across the hall to change the phone to my line, he said you need a new sim card or it will take 24 hours to activate i said cool. Walked back over to apple and got a sim card, walked back over to Verizon and he activated it for me. Entire process took 20 minutes. The only thing he shafted me on was my otterbox case charged me full price $50 instead of my $35 but its all good. I've had 1 issue where a store would let me upgrade  ( was upgrade eligible) and I was trying to get my little bro a new phone for his birthday. So I went home typed up a little email wasn't rude. I was contacted a day later from a lady via phone he upgraded the line for me and gave me $50 in credit ( i didn't want anything special just to upgrade). So sometimes its who you get, but 99% of the time Verizon has been good to me. ;)

I've done 4 phone switches in the past week and their phone support has been great for me, that being said, there are rotten apples everywhere. (Like the DB concierge I ran in to at the Apple store, while the people who helped me were awesome).

Verizon SIMs need to age 24 hours before their network will be able to push out an update with new line information.

Yeah, I know for next time...actually I should be able to just use the SIM in my current 5....I've just never had a SIM before so I didn't know about that rule.

Yeah, thats how it should have gone down...but he didn't mention that I could get another SIM card...only that he couldn't do anything to help me...See ya!

It was the Apple store that told me they could just give me another SIM card.

Yeah I know, maybe his best friend slept with his gf or something. My rep was overly eager to help me get my phone working. They seemed excited, yeah glad you got it working though. Did your phone ever ask you to update the carrier settings?
