I was able to get booze when I was 16, so I guess that's when I really started to look like an adult. But now in my 40s, I think I look better than in my 20s. I love the way I look now, and apparently so do the people I date. So who cares? :)

Go home!

I hate that when somebody retains their youthful looks. ;)

I did meet a Priest, non drinking non smoking, who basically looked 15 years younger than his 44 years. It blew everybody's mind away. Not one gray hair, either. And how could somebody go that long without partying or hitting the clubs?

He was really religious/pious without being judgmental, as opposed to being a little more liberal and modern, and if people didn't know he was a Catholic Priest, you would swear he was a Mormon and thus (hopefully) not a drinker or smoker. Those common American vices just didn't hold any interest to him.

I was told because I looked Filipino and had dark skin that it would be a sure thing that I wouldn't show my age. This didn't turn out to be true but ironically, all the Filipino friends I have pretty much look way younger than they really are. I only look slightly younger than my age and sometimes I get jealous.

I wish I could grow facial hair again, but it comes out all gray and looks terrible. This is one thing that going through my 40s was a bitch with. But I can't complain because many people I know had these 40-ish aging issues in their 30s.

That being said, you can look a lot older than you really are and still look OK. George Clooney and Steve Martin are good examples of people who pulled it off. I even think their premature hair color made them somewhat distinct. Clint Eastwood would not be famous for his gunfight face had it not been for his early wrinkles. And the Rolling Stones, they just wouldn't be rock and roll if they looked young and healthy.

I just turned 16, but could pass for 25. I have so much facial hair, deep voice, and i have a mature face. Not to mention terrible skin + acne :(

Hmm.. interesting question. I probably started looking like an adult when I was around 20; I support college ages you. I started feeling like an adult around 24-25, when I chose to completely sever financial help from my parents.

I got carded until I was well into my 30s at some places, it was a pain in the neck. But a place that depends on its liquor license to keep its doors open would rather card you than get a violation. I think sometimes they just carded everybody who looked under 40!

I'm 21.

If I shave I look like I'm 14.

If I don't, I look like I'm 14 and trying to look older - and failing miserably.
...and not much has changed. I'm 24 now and still look like a teenager if I shave, and I still don't grow enough facial hair to bother with a beard or anything. I'm okay with it..
...and still not much has changed. I look exactly the same as I did when I was 24. I'm a few months shy of 27 now and I still don't grow much facial hair, and I have "boyish good looks", as I'm told.

It's hard to hit on older women when I remind them of their sons. :(

Hey I was told I look 22 by someone (I'm 27). Considering I used to get 16-18 I feel like I'm finally an adult! haha

I used to buy beer for my friends when I was 15 (was tall as a kid so easily passed for 18).
But now at 26 I have to prove my age if I want to go into a bar.
