iPad mini When do you think the iPad mini 4 will be released?

The iPad 3 had improved internals compared to the iPad 2, as well as a Retina display. It was a step forward, if only a short lived one. The Mini 3 is not a step forward. If they release a new Mini as soon as April as some people suggest, I would feel bad for anyone who bought a 3.

Apple released it because they had to update the mini for the holiday season which i understand.

Now everyone got his unwanted gift and put on ebay, let's release the real thing.

I hope it doesn't get released until September. I'd feel like a chump with an April release, since I just picked up a new 32Gb mini 2 for $340 total.

It's in apples best interest for the release to coincide with the holiday shopping season. An april-June release makes no sense

And it would anger a lot of customers that purchased an Air 2 that would have waited for the Pro, but that wouldn't be unprecedented for Apple to do.

Don't know where you got that info from unless you have some stats that says otherwise. I bought an iPad 3 and i'm sure I wasn't alone as it was the 1st iPad with a high resolution screen and it won a lot of praise from the press. My take is that it sold pretty darn well as Apple was still untouchable tablet wise back in 2012. Now after the iPad 4 was released then I could see sales declining.

As much as I'd like to see an April 2015 release, there have been few if any rumors. Oct 2015 is the soonest imo

I think the question should instead be

" Do you think the ipad mini 4 will be released? "

Apple messed up the mini 3, only people who will buy are those who wants the 64GB and couldn't find any mini 2 at that capacity elsewhere. Fingerscan is not sumthing you can't live without. If Apple go the way of Ipad pro, Mini 3 is the last one. Iphone 6 plus is already out, no point to keep selling small ipad which generates less profit.

You probably see it discontinued by Oct this year along with Ipod touch, nano and shuffle.

Fall 2015. It will remain 1 year behind the iPhone and Air as far as hardware.

Apple will not kill the Mini yet. I also believe you will see a Touch 6 in late spring.

Haha me too. Paid $399 for an LTE model mini 2. I love it so far.
