iPad When I change email accounts (POP) does it remove emails?

I have many emails saved on my iPad from that have been downloaded from a POP email account to Mail. I am changing email accounts and will have a new domain but it will still be POP3.

My question is will removing the email account and adding a new one delete all the saved emails from the prior email account (meaning wipe the iPad of prior emails).
