iPod touch When is the Ipod touch 5G coming out..?

I know people don´t have an exact date but.. when should it be around what month..? The Ipad 2 is coming february1st but I don´t think the Ipod touch 5G is coming out then because the Ipod toucg 4G was just realesed does anyone have in month..? prediction...?

Yea... I also think that.. apple released the Ipod touch 4 in september so the Ipod touch 5G should be realsed in middle september...
Guess Ill just go for the Ipod Touch 4

Another question should I wait for the 5G or buy the 4G...?

Ipod Touch 5g: September-October 2011
Ipad 2g: March-April 2011
Iphone 5: July-August 2011
Mac OS X 10.7 "Lion": July-August 2011
New Macbooks: First half of 2011

Oh, and the Apple IV is coming out TOMORROW!!!!

If you do some research you will find that all of the other generations of ipod touch (1,2,3 and 4) were all released in a september. So the ipod touch 5g will be in september this year.
 
Apple holds the back to school sale to clear inventory. They are not going to announce an iPod Touch 5G until the end or near the end of the back to school sale; if they did it would hurt sales of 4g.
 
Rumor is that iphone 4s is releasing this year and iphone 5 next year. If that is true, then does that mean that touch 5g is next year too?

Ok everyone the ipod touch 5g is going to come out somewhere next month because they just came out with a new iphone 4 S, and the ipod touch 5g is coming out after the iphone 5 and they wont put out to kinds of new iphones out on the same month so your going to be waiting a kinda long time!

Sometime next year for sure. Since the LTE chip that the iPhone5 needs won't be available till 2nd Q it looks like the iPhone5 will go back to it's old May/June event time and then the iPods would be able to go back to the regular Fall event time in early September. I would expect a major redesign then.

There's no particular reason to believe there will be an iPod Touch 5G anytime soon. We haven't heard any serious rumors about what would be in an iPod Touch 5G anyway. Apple has in the past introduced new iPods at the same time as new iPhones.

The iPod Touch 5G could come out next october, but it is all rumor.

Good point.

It is not like we can use full LTE speeds everywhere, so even if we would have the appropriate hardware (iPhone 5/iPod touch G5), iCloud outside of larger cities would not make much sense. The internal optical networks are not ready for LTE speeds. My father works for Vodafone, so i know which problems the ISPs have. In most developed countries 3G networks are fast enough, just not for iCloud like services.

Exactly. Look at the iOS 5 device compatibility chart Apple has on their Website.
They updated it to include the iPhone 4S yet they list only the iPod touch 3rd and 4th generations.

So there is no 5th generation iPod touch. This "new" one is last year's iPod touch with a shiny new coat of paint.
 
My guess is Apple is all about ramping up production for this generation of iPhones. They'll try their hardest to put every effort into making as many iPhones as possible with as many carriers over the world as they can cover. Staying with the same iPhone 4 design seems to be a sign of that intent. My guess is that it also means that Apple doesn't want the iPod Touch to compete against iPhone, both in the market and in the production by taking away the A5 supplies. So unfortunately, I don't think we'll see the next generation of iPod Touch for a while. :(

I hadn't thought of this. I sincerely hope you're right. Perhaps there is a future for the iPod Touch after all. I was worried that it was starting to resemble the iPod Classic and might be phased out soon.
 
Hi!

Sales guy at my local future shop told me last weekend that a newer version is coming in 2-3 weeks after the release of the not so new white I pod touch 4. I don't where he heard that??

You hear that same rumor every year and it is always wrong. The next update will be September / October next year.
 
I've seen people tak about the "death" of the ipod touch, but before they kill it off..

PLEASE APPLE PLEASE GIVE IT AN IPHONE 4 DESIGN, A 8 MP CAMERA, AND SIRI

PLEASE!!!!
