As you taught me some years ago, the good Lord never gives us more that we can truly handle. Just seems that way at times.

On the plus side, you have a hefty payout coming from that hospital for the medical malpractice, right?

But how on earth can your employer take away 3 months of pay for missing one month of work? I'm assuming you're some kind of contract worker/consultant and they terminated the remainder of your contract? Otherwise, I don't see how they can do that.

My sympathies on your loss. The only advice I can give is to talk to your pastor, or priest, and tell him/her your problems. They can probably help both spiritually and financially.

Thank you all for the kind words, and support too. I have gotten clarification from work. They are holding one month of salary because I missed one month. Not bad, but still sucks ass.

For your wife, I would definately look into counseling, she may not want it now but just have her think about it, wait until she's ready and then set her up an appointment.

Try to keep busy and your mind off things, walking is a good stress reliever.

I know the feeling, and sometimes it never seems to let up. The past month or so for me seems to have that same feeling of non-stop bad sh&* luck. Nothing on your level, but it just all piles up and doesn't stop... And each thing you do builds on it. Sometimes relish the melodrama and it seems to go by faster.
