Wtf?? I can't just switch back to my 4S?? That's ridiculous, why the hell would they do this?

----------

Why didn't anyone warn me of this? That's ridiculous, what if I want to switch back and forth?

Expecting this kind of paternalism is what is wrong with America these days. Why didn't anyone tell you this would happen? Why didn't you ask?

Clearly you know that most people don't switch back and forth. So if you wanted to ensure you could, that's your responsibility. Do you expect apple or the carrier to ask every person what phone they have now and how they plan to use them? (If you had a 5, you could just switch the sim card back and forth.) Grow up.

And now you know. And knowing is half the battle.
You now have a shiny new iPhone 6 and a functional iPod 4s. Do what most people do - get a dock unit and put the 4s in it. Instant party where ever you take it.

Lol yeah. I love the 6, mostly just the screen size and thinness but honestly I miss being able to reach everywhere on the screen with ease. Doesn't feel like something that I will get used to, I honestly might exchange for the 5S. How has it been for you?

I've used both the 6 and 6 Plus. The 6 is a great phone, but as they say "go big or go home". I'm loving the 6 Plus. Since I don't have plans on getting a tablet anytime soon, this is the perfect size.

How can you sacrifice one-handed texting?

Your 6 has its own nano sim that is now activated for that number.

To go back to the 4s you either need a nanosim to microsim adapter or to go to an AT&T store and get a microsim provisioned to put back in your 4s.

Wait the AT&T store can do this for free?

this is not hard to grasp. please pay attention.

your 4s uses a micro sim card. your iphone 6 uses a nano sim card.

Assuming you are on att or tmobile, you need to purchase a nano sim to micro sim adapter if you want to switch back and forth between the phones. If you go to att they can provision you a micro sim like you used to have for your 4s but when you want to go back to the 6 it would again require a trip to the store for a new nano sim.

If you are a verizon or sprint customer switching between the 2 will be so difficult it is not worth it.

This is the advancement of technology. Get over it. an adapter costs $2-3.

this one is a $1.34...Relax!!!

If you go to the store they can switch your service to a new SIM card, but you can't reuse old SIM cards.

How did it assign my number to the new sim without using the old phone? Can't I undo that or switch my number back onto the old sim? How much is this adapter?

You old SIM is DEAD!

Only way is to get a new SIM and have them move service.

Be careful with the adapters as I have seen them damage the phone due to it's thickness.
