When should next public beta of iOS 9 hit?

I searched for prior release timelines but there was a lot of noise in the results and couldn't get a definitive answer.

Probably in two more weeks. The only definitive answer will be from Apple when they actually release it.

There are typically less public betas than developer betas.

It will likely be released either July 20th - 24th or August 3rd - 7th.

If the in between time of 3 to 4 (developer preview) follows the same two week timeline, we should see something next week (Monday or Tuesday) As the public beta "should" follow the same release timeline for the rest of the beta testing. (Basing this off of past public betas for iOS (8.3 and 8.4))

Of course it's not set in stone but we can only take that guess based off past experience of iOS PB.

They usually do Public betas to correspond with every other release of Developer beta...so with that logic, most likely in two more weeks.

What? They just started the public beta program on a limited basis with 8 and updated with every developer beta. No reason they would not do the same here.

Those aren't major releases though, the OS X 10.11 public beta last year was every other developer build.

You mean 10.10?

Also Yosemite 10.10.0 was the very first public beta they ever have done and had no clue how to handle it. In later Yosemite updates PB came along side DP builds (after DP getting 1-3 builds first)

Secondly you're comparing OS X to iOS beta. iOS has always been 1-3 DP's and once the first PB came out all new builds from then on we're DP + PB same days.

For those with the Public Beta Profile installed who want Developer Beta 4 (assuming apple doesn't make a new beta available for the public users), here's how to opt out of the Public Beta to get Beta 4:

-Settings > General > Profiles
-Delete the iOS 9 Public Beta Profile
-Reboot your device
-Settings > General > Software Update > Download and Install

Obviously Apple. No way should someone on PB 1 be able to update to DP 4. It's not even the same beta program.

You have to be on iOS 9 to begin with.

And after updating, you can reinstall the beta profile to get the Feedback app back.

Yes works for me as well. I assume this works because DP3 and PB1 are identical builds, there is just the profile that is different. So deleting the profile makes it think you have DP3 and so offers DP4

I'm downloading PB1 now, I hope they don't close the loophole before I get a chance to use it!

Will deleting the profile and getting DP 4 have any negative effects in the future though? Such as bricking the phone/requiring UDID registration? I don't want my phone to stop working when I need it the most.
