I recently bought two phones. Both 83 week 43. Model 380A is fine as far as I can tell. Model 380B has a slight yellow tint but it seems to make the phone look brighter. It is only visible when holding them side by side. In fact it has the same look as my iMac. The Model 380A looks almost greyish.

The only other thing I noticed is that the Model 380 A showed a 14.0 GB capacity where the 380 B showed a 13.98 Capacity, both right out of the box.

Can you post a pic with your two iPhone side by side?

Black 16 GB

Factory - 65
Week - 39

Yellow screen - not sure
Reception issues - moderate
Proximity sensor issues - yes

Bought this IP4 on November 13 2010 from Radio Shack and tried to update to iOS 4.2 and iTunes gave me error 1013. I did notice the "hosts" file fix but Apple Support informed me that my phone had a hardware issue and that I should get it replaced. Took it back to the same Radio Shack store on November 24 2010 and got the replacement listed below:

Black 16 GB

Factory - 7R
Week - 46

Yellow screen - no
Reception issues - no
Proximity sensor issues - no
Other Issues - When the power button is pushed to wake up screen, sometimes screen won't turn on or will turn off immediately until power button is pushed again.

Received the replacement yesterday

Factory: 83 Week: 43

Reception issues: Yes
Yellow Tinted: Yes

Just got off phone with Apple CS, told me Apple Care is closed so they will call me back tomorrow. Hope they will replace it and I get a proper one this time with no issues. :(

Just got me a fresh one. Week 46, shipped with 4.1. Interestingly enough, the reports of the newer units sporting Torx screws are true. I looked a while after I got the thing and sure enough. I think they fit better with the "industrial design". Death grip actually increased signal for some reason, no screen issues, and (big whoop!) no proximity issues.

Week 38

Week 39. Microphone issues. People on the other end can barely hear me + Voice memos records only static noise.

Update: Got a replacement. It was a refurb. Week 46. There was no microphone issues, but unfortunately it had the yellow tint on screen, so sent it for a replacement again.

I just received one last week from AT&T. The screen is warmer but not really yellow, no interlacing lines, and no problems with reception.

Week: 50
Factory: 85
iOS: 4.2.1

Just got my 32GB last week from an AT&T store. No reception issues that I can tell, screen is perfect. Week 50.

EDIT: 1000th post!

I just got a new iphone 4 today from the apple store. They took mercy on me. They gave me a free one after I smashed my front glass plate! I was curious to see when this one was built and I cant figure it out from what you guys are saying. The serial number is:
