Black iPhone 4 32GB from UK, Unlocked, and sim free. Week 42. It should be here this week. It arrived at my friends house in the UK on Friday, and he's posting to me tomorrow via DHL. Excited. :)

White counterparts should be here tomorrow, which I will be documenting in a new thread. Parts are coming from iphonefixed.co.uk, and so far, their communications have been good, and tracking number received recently.

Yes, as well as a few phone shops. Couldn't glean much really, so here i am.

What do you mean you couldn't glean much? I've never checked out iphones at Apple stores. I'm guessing that they are hooked up to carriers and that you can put your finger on the antenna notch?

i know i am going to sound stupid but where and how do you find all these numbers for the weeks and factory?? i am going to get my iPhone this week and i want to know when it was manufactured before i buy it.

Serial number:
The first two digits stand for factory
The fourth and the fifth ones show week

Depends on how you buy it actually. I ordered mine online and the serial number for my iphone was included in my invoice sent to me AFTER it was shipped. I guess you will only be able to check the serial number if you intend on buying it at a physical store.

That link shows different ways to find the serial number.

The link below shows what the serial number means: 1st 2 digits = what factory it was made in. 4th and 5th digits indicate what week of the year the iphone was made in.

I just got my iPhone it's a week 45. So far no problems how can I tell if I have a yellow screen?

I dropped one call today it might have been the area I was in...

Well I thought mine was week 42, but now its arrived, and checked serial number, it ends in EA4T. What does this mean?

Just spotted a dead pixel on the right side of my new one.

Shall I return it? or wait a little while first?

Week 45 Factory 82 came yesterday, unlocked from Apple Store Online Mexico.

Been trying for 2 days to find any problem at all, and so far everything seems perfect!

Absolut not a single dead pixel, and most important for me, seems like no anttena issue.

Im happy with my fourth iphone 4 now.
