When/Where did the Apple Store Accept your iPhone X pre-order ?

I am trying to figure out how Apple stages the opening of orders around the world. Macrumors had stated that orders opened at 12:01. The apple store app on my iPhone and the Apple website were in "We'll be back" status until 12:12 am (I am in the San Francisco area). I recollect this was exactly the same time orders opened for my 7+ last year.

So for those who got orders before 12:12, what was the time (Pacific Daylight), what did you order (color, RAM, carrier), where were you geographically, and what app were you using to place the order (Apple Store App iPhone, Safari Web Mac, Carrier site, etc.)?

If we can figure out how the staging works there will be less stress (It's 12:10 and I can't order! What am I doing wrong?!).

First year I couldn’t use the Apple Store app. Used Safari through my iPad. Got my Nov 3rd date. But oddly the Apple Store app was unreliable this year.

Sometimes I think the App will not update. I kept closing the app and rerunning. I got the order done by 3:07 most of the time spent filling in the IUP app. I think it help my place in line. Nov 3 delivery.

Apple store app, 12:03PDT let me in. Order done at 12:04PDT. I am an hour north of San fran. Got 256gb Silver for 8am pickup on 11/3. this year was really easy. I could have got the SG like I wanted but didn’t want to chance. I saw in store pickup on 11/3 available till 12:15PDT..ATT Next upgrade with money down..ordered on my iPhone 7+

You might get charged in a day or two or when it ships. 2 years ago mine got charged days after pre order. They won’t notify you of anything. U will have to keep checking ur order number to see when it ships. You will have to check for everything. I remember one year people got there phones and then it gave them tracking after they had it. So don’t wait for them, check ur self..

So weird, hearing this happen for a lot of people but mine worked at 12:03.

I think I was quite lucky - my App went live (after force closing each time) at 8:02, seconds after it switched from 8:01. UK here, Cheshire to be more exact. Ordered a Silver, 256, due on the 3rd.

I've was chatting with a friend who was around Heathrow, London. His didn't go live until around 8:17. (SG 256, expected 2nd Dec).

It's what happens when they tell everyone to use the app for the "best experience". Every year the app has been my effortless go-to, but this year all the desktop guys came over to the app and that is result of the delay. Sucks.

Was getting the “We’re so excited...” message until about 3:05 - 3:07 A.M. App switcher, close app, re-open app, etc. No dice. Finally said “**** it”and ordered one through Verizon with release date shipping.

Turns out I ordered the wrong size! So, I’ve cancancled the Verizon order and re-ordered through the IUP. I’m looking at Dec. 11 - 18, now.

I’m not super angry, as I’m still due to get it this year. But I wonder if calling Apple and calmly, politely explaining my shattered expectations could help things.

I live just outside Portland, OR. I repeatedly opened and force closed the Apple app rapidly until I got in!

I ordered 2 phones both on the iUP. 64g Silver and 256g SB. Both on AT&T.

Received my confirmation emails at 12:01 and 12:02. Nov 3rd delivery.

It was by far the EASIEST pre-order I’ve done to date!

One other tip is to turn on "account alerts" if your bank/credit card company offers them. For example- I have text messages or push notifications sent to me for any amount charged on my credit card(s). I can see the moment Apple decides to charge my card, plus keeps accounts more secure.

You are not going to find any pattern as the phone next to mine in the same room didn't get in until 10 minutes after mine. Both using the app. I kept trying as I was curious to see, and I could get website until 12:20.

Since 8.59 doing nothing else than opening and closing the app. Finally got it on the iPad and was quick enough to get a 03 pick up time. Delivery was at 9.06 already 2-3 weeks
