No, I'm pretty sure he meant spirt - it is a perfectly acceptable term as well as "spurt".

Yes, I just looked it up in my Dashboard Dictionary - Spirt is the old fashioned way of spelling spurt, but they both mean the same thing.

Not-so-reliable sources, after all?

For some reason, Think Secret changed their wording a bit. This is what the article says now:

If you ordered one on Friday you should be okay, due to Apple's return policy. No worries!

But on behalf of other Mac users waiting for the iBook updates, thank you - usually all it takes is someone to buy a machine that is overdue for an update to trigger that very update, so thanks for taking the bullet for us! ;)

:-S can't moderators combine ALL when new iBook/PowerBook threads into one???

or posters... instead of adding ANOTHERT thread on this topic... just reply in one of the hundred threads allready available??? or don't you see there are other threads and just click add new thread????

its starting to be rediculous :p

It is coming at either 11am EST, 1pm, or 3pm. I think 5pm is too late. I choose these intervals b/c apple likes to release things at an even number...1pm is most likely b/c it's 10 o clock in Cupertino and that's just a great number for product releases and special events.

You'll have a lynch mob coming around your house later today! :p
