When will the iPad 3 appear in Apple stores?

How long does it usually take for a new Apple product to appear on display in their stores after it's been announced? Is it normally immediately after the announcement, or on launch day?

I'm hoping to buy the iPad 3 on day one , but I have a feeling it may be a few weeks before it becomes available over here in the UK.

I'm just wondering if I'd be able to see one in the flesh before launch.

Anyone know what happened after past launches?

Pretty sure the UK gets them in July.

My prediction is that pre-orders will begin within 24 hours of the announcement. The actual device will be in stores 7 to 10 days after. Just my guess. No one will know for sure until March 7th.
