you really can live with a processor that is 4 or 5years old??

-Please stop listening to all the people who have no idea what they're talking about.
-It's either Intel Graphics (Shudders) and i3 or C2D and 320M.
-The i3 is not even much faster than the C2D processor if at all.
-Also, the C2D name is 5 years old, not the processor, that's architecture is about 2-3 years old.
-Now please stop listening to others and use the laptop yourself in your closest apple store and make self-informed decisions, instead of making decisions influenced by empty rants.

you really think its necessary?
pay attention to the topic, not the trifle.

to point out you don't know the difference between feet and inches, yes i do.

I have had my 13" mbp for 5 months now and it does everything i need it to with no problems. without out a Ram upgrade.

btw i would say Dec-Jan

Got it. thanks,anyway.
i think i'll choose to wait.

Oh my, for me, this debate is easy. I've been running my mid-2007 black MacBook since about mid-2007 and I cannot wait to upgrade to the MBP 13". I have no desire to start toying with the i3/i5 processors, I'll continue with the C2D for now. I'm not doing anything amazing, processing-wise, so I'll take the minimal hit on speed boost in exchange for reliability and cost effectiveness.

I love the specs for the 13" MBP as it is and I'm hoping I can afford the upgrade before they stick a different processor in there (if they do at all). If you look at my specs in my signature, you'll what an upgrade it truly is for me lol.

I debated the price-to-spec ratio when I bought my MBP but, in the end, one major thing stood out against all of the sub-$1000 machines, the display.

I could simply not find a better looking screen on any computer in the price range. The closest I got was a discounted HP Envy that left a lot to be desired in other areas.

Apple displays are amazing. Black levels, color gamut, contrast, uniformity, etc. Easily worth the added cost.
