One thing I've learned is to not rush getting a new iPhone the moment it's released. Wait 2-3 months because there's always, always some sort of manufacturing issue that gets sorted out later. Happened already with every iPhone I own, bought on release day and there's always some QC issue happening.

I've had every single flagship and this year won't be any different.

I used to get the maximum capacity every year... until last year, I realized that I don't even have many apps installed anymore and zero games. I downgraded to 128GB and I currently have ~104GB of free space.

My alarm is set. I just need to figure out if I care enough about 4K ProRes to get the 256GB and if I want the sierra blue color...

Anybody got tips on best way to buy? I have AT&T and am trading in a Xs. AT&T has a $45 upgrade fee, does that apply if you buy through Apple? Are we able to use Apple gift cards?

This is the most underwhelming iPhone release in recent memory. I wonder how well it's going to sell... I see no reason to upgrade from an iPhone 11 Pro Max yet.
I don't disagree however the battery on my iPhone 11 Pro is hardly making it through the day and I've been wanted to get the Pro Max. If it wasn't for the crazy trade in deal with AT&T, I'd probably wait another year, but $1000 for my trade in?!?!? Can't pass that up.

It’s 1,000 over 3 years in bill credit. I’d rather get the 790 upfront from Apple trade in

First time in years that I won’t be upgrading. iPhone 13 will be a fail in terms of sales.

I don't think so, actually? Almost everyone I know working in I.T. is pre-ordering one of these.
One guy I work with already owns a 12 series and he's getting a 13 too. I asked him why, but his logic is that you can still get so much money back for a 12 in good condition, it makes the jump to have the "latest thing" relatively inexpensive to do. He figures it's worth the price difference just to have the improved camera features.

I'm getting one because I'm still on an XS Max that's starting to have shorter battery life than it used to, and my daughter still uses an aging iPhone 7. I figure I'll help her out by gifting her my XS Max and solve that problem for her as well as upgrading. For me, you've got to remember that this gets me into the "5G" world too -- and hopefully with a phone with a little bit less power draw when using 5G vs the 12.

Dang, guess Alaska is no longer in the US anymore. Sad day for us! Canada, do you have a futon?

This, 100%.
I'm sporting an 8+ and am considering the upgrade for the camera and battery life, but wouldn't do it before late winter, early spring for the reason stated here.

This will be the very first iPhone I do not pre-order (unless my current one fails). Why?
Coincidentally also the second or third Apple announcement video I didn't watch. Why?

I do not know why.

I have stood in line, pre-ordered or rushed to get the newest device on every single generation since the very first iPhone - but something's changed. Maybe it was the recent privacy intrusions announced that throw red flags on value shifts Apple has secretly made over the decade. Maybe it's the lack of truly innovative features for those of us who have aged out of Memoji. Maybe it's the dull leadership hyper focused on their number one product: stock.

Cinema mode - the outcome from 34,000 corporate employees? I mean, really?

Or is it because the device has reached a maturity that not much else is needed to make life better?

Has the price point become something I can no longer justify?

We haven't listed every time zone for every country, such as in Canada, Russia, and the United States, nor have we listed every available pre-order country, so make sure to double check your specific time zone so you're certain you know the exact time that pre-orders will kick off. A time zone converting website is a useful tool for confirming accurate pre-order times.

Reports detailing Apple’s iPhone 13 manufacturing preparations suggest that Apple has been taking steps to prevent launch delays. That said, it's best to pre-order the iPhone 13 model you want as soon as possible if you're aiming to get a new device on release day.

iPhone 13 pre-orders will be available on Friday, September 17 and all four devices will launch one week later on Friday, September 24. These dates apply to customers in the United States, Australia, Canada, China, Germany, India, Japan, the UK, and more than 30 other countries and regions.

All of the iPhone 13 models will subsequently be available in Turkey on Friday, October 1, followed by Malaysia, Mexico, South Korea, Thailand, and select other countries and regions beginning Friday, October 8, according to Apple.

So what is the pricing? When I go to the Apple Canada site it seems to take me to Apple.com which seems to show US pricing. Are the prices the same in Canada? I doubt that.... very confusing system Apple has for informing customers of pricing.
