I think XTheLancerX is confusing your initial question with the other user, chupachup and his anti-iOS rants.
Yes, that's what I think too

Hello? *tap, tap, tap* Is anyone there?

Yeah sorry just saw this, no that's not what I'm talking about. I'm saying when you go back to the list of conversations after sending a text, it should go to the top of the list where that conversation has been moved to.

What if you had other conversations with new messages where you were before, and you opened one, replied to it, and then wanted to go back to select the next one with new messages in it, and suddenly instead of where you were (where the other conversations with new messages are) you are taken to the top for no particular reason.

Seems like you'd want to go back to where you were before rather than somewhere else--that's typically what happens in many cases when back functionality is used (with Mail, Safari, even Settings app, etc.) and what people would expect in most cases (even if various other apps might implement it differently).

No, because that never happens. Every single time I scroll to the top.

Happens with me, and I would rather have it that way than having to scroll somewhere else to find where I was (especially considering that going to the top, if I needed it, is just a simple and quick status bar tap away).

Why to your embarrassment?

When I jump into the text app with the intention of texting my girlfriend but instead texting one of my friends as that was the last conversation I had open. I should really look at who I am texting, so it is my own stupid fault.

Thats more about going into the last conversation where you were when you left the app last time. The OP, as I understood it, was more about when you are in the Messages app and you leave the conversation to go to the list of all conversations (still in the Messages app), where do you end up on that list.

Having re-read the OP - you are correct, another example of me being stupid.
