So they'll announce it on June 13, but when will I be able to pick it up at the store or have it delivered to my door? Same day, a week, two, or?

The current gen was released on announcement day. If it's an upgrade of similar level, you'll probably see it on release date. If it's something big, then I'd say it will come in a few months, but I don't know when.

MBPs have typically been "available today" in the past, but there are always exceptions.

MBP's are usually available on the day of the announcement, but I have yet to see any indication they will be announced at a software conference.

Except for the precedent that Apple has done it in previous years (2012 MBP was announced/released at WWDC 2012).

Calendar Q4 (usually how they address the announcements as Fiscal quarters can vary from company to company) would start in October.

    Q1 - Jan., Feb., March
    Q2 - April, May, June
    Q3 - July, Aug., Sept.
    Q4 - Oct., Nov., Dec.

I hope it will be available for purchase on the same day. We'll see I guess. If so, that would be perfect for me as I need a new laptop ASAP.

Secondly, any idea on a Apple standalone display release? I'm assuming they'll go with the 27-inch 5K model only. I need that too. I ***HOPE*** they'll announce those this WWDC too. Then the last piece of the puzzle is the iPhone 7 and I'll have all my gizmos up to date and are just what I need. :D

    Don't hold your breath.

My opinion only, but I sense that Apple has quietly exited the "display business" (just as they gave up their printer business years and years ago)...

Apple's 'Fiscal 4th quarter' starts at the end of June, to me it makes perfect sense for them to announce the new range of laptops at a big event like WWDC, celebrate the MacBook Pro's 10th birthday in style, and ship them end of June, in July.

No analyst so far as I can tell has specified which 4th quarter they are referring to. So NOBODY knows when Apple will announce the new machines.

I don't think so. I feel they need something Apple branded to compliment the Mac Pro. Kinda ****** we buy a Mac and are forced to look elsewhere for a [4/5k] monitor. I think they're just waiting thill Thunderbolt 3 devices start shipping as I hear those only support 5k and up. Current Thunderbolt ports can push up to 4k displays, that's it.

But I think if they do stick with it and release the next one soon, they could make it super thin to amplify their marketing. It doesn't have any internal components, so it isn't limited to that.

    Anyway, we shall see...

I'm just hoping the new MBPs are up for grabs on the same day or within the first week of announcement. Very much looking forward to upgrade from my Mid-2014 15" MBP.
