Normally I would reserve @ Apple, but if the Bing cashback turns out to be an option, I'll go that route.

Apple.com for the first time because I do not want to deal with the rudeness and lack of knowledge of AT&T's reps.

Apple.com and having it delivered on the 24th, don't like going to the at&t or apple store

wow.. whats the difference between pre-ordering at apple vs att? other than the 25th pick up date @ att.

I'm going to att. I have a line on a business plan, and I think its just going to be easier setting everything all at once in the store.. seeing how I'm not the owner of the plan, but I just got authorized to upgrade and what not.

For now, Apple for delivery. Tried and true. Plus I have no incentive to order anywhere else and possible get lower service. Now if BB offers 3x RZ points I may reconsider. Otherwise Apple it is.

Maybe I've missed this in other threads, but the rate plans on the Apple site don't include the Family Plans which I use with my spouse. It says "AT&T FamilyTalk plans are also available for up to 5 lines. (FamilyTalk plans are available through Apple Retail Stores and AT&T)"

Does this mean I have to order my phone through AT&T or will it default to my current plan?

I would like to pre-order & pick mine up at the Apple store (due to friendlier employees), but I'm doing an upgrade swap with my mom. Would I be better off pre-ordering from AT&T because of the swap?

The Shack for me.

The Shack for me too. I actually already pre-ordered two 32GB iPhone 4s(one Black and one White for the Mrs.) by giving the RS store manager my credit card info which he will enter first thing tomorrow morning.

I am traveling to the East Coast tomorrow and I cannot go to the RS store to pre-order.

The RS store is also taking my 16GB 3G for trade-in and giving me $20 discounts for any accessories.

Sweet Deal!!!!!!

Oops. answered my own question by reading the FAQs.

"Can I use my current rate plan with an iPhone?
Yes, if you currently use iPhone 3G or 3GS, you can keep your current rate plan. "

I'm preordering via the apple website but I don't know whether I should pick it up at the store (Soho, NYC) or have it delivered. FedEx is somewhat notorious for lying about attempted deliveries so that I never get anything on time.

I'm wondering how long it will take if I show up a little after the store opens and the lines are moving.
