I came to Las Vegas for a 5day trip and Ill be going back to my country. I looked at newegg and they seem to deliver after they process in the 1-2 business days, meaning they exclude weekends. Since saturday and sunday count towards my 5day trip I dont have much time and have a risk of not getting the item on time.

Is there anywhere else offline or online with express shipping where I can get this sweet baby before I leave Las Vegas? If there is one offline I can get it this weekend!

    Very much apprieciated!

Hmmm...go to Fry's Electronics in Vegas (they have a store there)?

    They'll even match Internet prices.

Another idea is mail forwarding there are many companies in the US which will do this for you. You just make your purchase use their service to send the item to you, if Newegg does not like your out of country credit card/address associated with it then you could do pre-paid visa/mastercard for the purchase while you are already there.

Well confirmed from walking in to Fry's Electronics myself, they don't sell GTX680 for Mac Edition! :(

I guess the only place you can get this is from online. (eBay, Amazon, Newegg so far for me. If someone can confirm anywhere else from online it'll be greatly appreciated).

Has anyone seen this in offline stores yet also?

The market is small enough that I doubt you'll find it in an offline store, I've never seen one in person and have always just ordered them online.

That's because Fry's sells for List Price. They will be going the way of Blockbuster, Circuit City, and hopefully Best Buy soon.....

Just get the EVGA GTX680 2GB SC PC version and flash it. These are plentiful. After flash you get the exact same experience and keep $150 or so in your pocket.

The pcie cables are $8 for two on eBay.

But wouldn't they be faulty later if let's say OSX firmware changes or something like that? Just to be on the safe side, I didn't want to go through any hassle of modifying anything if any at a later time...I totally understand what you mean by saving $150, but I really don't have much time to learn about flashing / jailbreaking or what not (I know it should be easy but I go with the safer bet I guess!)

Thanks for your ideas though! Greatly appreciate it!

Now I just hope that my VGA works fine!

The problem with flashing most PC NVIDIA cards is that they often come with ROM chips that are too small to flash EFI firmware to. In situations like this, the only way around it is to desolder the old ROM chip and solder a larger one on.

You could just run the card without flashing, but you do lose the EFI boot screen and it the card will run at half link speed (2.5 GT/s). The link speed throttle won't make too much of a difference in games, but it can in pro CUDA applications.

I did my research before suggesting it.

There are lots of threads on the 100% support you get if you use the EVGA GTX680 (three skus work) and flash the same rom.

It will be supported as long as the EVGA Mac GTX680 because it is exactly the same thing.

IMO $150 is a little high to pay for a peace of mind. The delta grows next month when the Titan based GTX780 comes out.

Interesting. Have you tried this successfully? I can't find any threads on actually flashing the GTX 680. Every time I search, I get a load of threads talking about the official Mac variant.

In the official thread but this page sums it up well and I think it is post number 111 in that thread with the linked rom to flash with.

Its just another opton. Seems very low risk.

I run an xfx 7870 right now (not fully supported), but plan to get a 680. Ill be doing the flash.

This stuff is my definition of fun, so your mileage may vary. :)
