Where Can You Buy a New Video Card FAST?!

look i am new to this forum. So I understand Yukon Joe to be in doubt. this is my ebay name philipma1957 look me up I have sold mac mini mods for 3 years. I have purchased from this company for 3 years. parts for 15 dollars to 200 dollars. 7 good purchases.

I am on mac mini 123 forums. i am very good at sourcing parts for my mac mini mods and a lot of other parts for other gear. this is my post of that forum about my mac pro purchase.

he had 5 of each 5770 and 5870 they are going to sell out.

What could have been was they ordered the mac pro 2010 with 2 video card and pulled one of them for sale. I'm just guessing.
 
Got an email back from AppleComponents.com

I asked him if the 5770 on his site was the OEM card from Apple.

"yes, so my vendor has told me. please note the 3-14 day shipping delay..."

Sounds like an alright deal if you need one quick, although currently has a shipping delay. Like new condition with a 60 day warranty.
 
Good news! I figured I would go ahead and put an order in for a 5770 (I don't need anything more than that for my uses) rather than just wait around for the shipping times to come down. To my surprise, even though the apple store listed the card at a 2-4 week lead time (I believe it is down to 1-2 weeks now), my card shipped the day after I ordered it and will arrive by the end of the week.

So for those in this thread that were in despair like me over waiting for a card to replace your broken one, it looks like the 5770 is at least an option that is currently shipping.
 
I can second that, the 5770 seems to have started shipping from Apple.
I ordered one for my 2008 last Saturday, and I got the shipping notification this morning.
 
The card arrived this morning. To summarize, I received the card just a few days after ordering. Hope everyone else has the same luck.
