No Mini yet but ever since I got a cellular iPad, I've taken it with me everywhere. Having mobile data built-in really makes it more flexible.

I usually bring mine to school and it REALLY helps with school work like notes and stuff like that :)

Do you use a keyboard? I switched from an iPad 2 to Mini 2 last autumn and the keyboard was too small to take notes on during meetings and such. I had the original iPad in college and used it to take notes. Everyone made fun of me for having an oversized iPod Touch but I told them it's the future. They laughed.

Anyway I'm now back on a full sized iPad, the Air 2, and I can actually use it to take notes again. My wife has the Mini 2 and I bought her a ClamCase keyboard case which makes it actually usable (maybe slightly small for my hands), but a little bit thicker and heavier. I had tried a bunch of keyboard cases before this one and it's definitely the best for the Mini. Now that the full size iPad is so thin and light I actually don't mind having the bigger one now. It just doesn't feel that big any more, especially with the reduced bezels compared to older iPads.

My rMini usually stays home. The only time that I take it with me is if I'm flying somewhere or getting maintenance done on my car. That way I can watch movies I downloaded prior to the flight or stream movies or TV shows while I'm getting work done on my car.

Hi macduke! I use it without a keyboard, but I have the Apple smart case that I like to type with it propped up in the typing position. It works pretty well, but I would like to get a Bluetooth keyboard soon :) I think the only reason I think its not too small is because I am coming from a 5s, and typing on a 5s is NOT easy! Lol!

Mine goes everywhere with me. It fits in the back pocket of the pants and the shorts that I wear. I have a cd slot mount for the car where it serves as a navigational tool and aids in my 94 mile commute to work every day. I also play music with different groups and serves as my sheet music device. In many of those instances that I used to read my sheet music, some of the other musicians may have forgotten or misplaced theirs, so I always have a group huddled around me LOL.
It's a great constant companion. And worth it's weight in gold for those maddeningly long waits in doctors offices. Congrats on your iPad purchase, you are visiting a great place to enjoy it.

Well if you can afford it the ClamCase is the way to go. I signed up for the newsletter and got some coupons—I think it was like $30 off but even after the coupon it was still $99. Kinda expensive but my wife loves it. How do I know? Because a few times per week she comments about how much she loves her keyboard case and I bought it for her several weeks ago. She generally doesn't ever talk about technology. The only other time I ever heard her gush over technology was her first iPhone and the display in my retina MacBook Pro. When I first powered it up she was like "Whoa, that actually is a really nice screen."

I just checked my email and I still have a working $25 off plus free shipping coupon if you want it. For some reason the email says today only, but I tested it online and it works. PM me if interested.

LOL! I'm glad she ended up liking it! I'm the same way about mine. One of the best purchases I ever made.

Hi Jessica! Thanks for the initial recommendation! I asked her if she wanted to try some out in the stores and she told me to just order it. Worked out well. It's a little small for me but much better than other cases I've tried in the past. I can at least type out some sentences without too much trouble. I think I could get used to it over time. But for her it works great already! MS Office going free at the same time also worked out well. I'm quite surprised at how well designed the apps are and now she doesn't need to learn a new system. I think Excel is especially better than numbers, although she does like that Numbers makes it easy to put together meal planning sheets, keep daycare attendance (for standard meal deductions for taxes), and stuff like that. I think Excel has some templates too but I haven't messed with them yet. But now she can just port over all her existing spreadsheets, contracts, policies and everything else without any issues. It's also really handy how you can use the thing in lots of different positions and angles to watch movies or whatever.

Well I hadn't taken my iPad 3 out of the house in months so today I finally traded it in for a mini 2, which I now plan to take on my subway commute and to work since it will fit in my coat pocket.:D

Hey you know its ok when the wife approves! Lol! I just looked up the Clamcase and.....wow. Its gorgeous! Almost looks like a Macbook mini (hey, why hasn't Apple made that yet?!)!! I greatly appreciate your offer for the coupon, but 100 bucks is still pretty high for me :( Thank you anyway!!!
