I have only lived in Norway, but have had extended stays in the following countries:

Sweden, Denmark, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, several US states, Canada, Singapore, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand.

Problaby more too, but I've forgotten.

Cincinnati, Ohio, all my life. Well we do own a condo in Boca Raton, Florida, but I can't say that I stayed there for more than two weeks. We can't move there permanently because it's 65+.

London, Portsmouth, Sydney, Colombo, New York, San Francisco, Paris, Bahrain, Brussels, Ankara, Istanbul, Rome

Impressive mix you have there, was it a job / career that took you to all these places?

I live in Germany right now, moved here from Ireland.

Just Springhead, Lees then back to Springhead again. Lovely place. We have property out in Gorlice, Poland but we don't live there. It's just a holiday destination for now (can't speak more than a few words in Polish ).

Toronto, Ontario and Edmonton, Alberta. But I don't really remember that much about Edmonton since I lived there when I was a very young kid.

Hastings and preston so far :(, want to move to manchester :D

I just moved to manchester for uni. Loving it so far!

About 20% of the students on my course have to spend their 3rd year in Preston. It's been fondly renamed de-preston :p

As for me - I've lived in 4 houses in the same city in South East England, and am now in Manchester.

Lived in Edinburgh (Scotland, UK) for 20 years then headed out to Graz, Austria. Was meant to be there for 6 months then heading on to Madrid, Spain but I only last 3 before I fled back to the UK.

Not in any rush to leave the UK for mainland Europe again anytime soon.

My father's job accounted for Bahrain, Ankara, Istanbul, Paris and Brussels, college and my own wanderings for the rest. I live outside London.

I don't want to turn this into a skunk thread, but do you mind sharing what your field of study was in college? Classics?

That must have been a fascinating childhood, being exposed to such a broad range of cultures... did you at some point make the decision to return home, or did it just work out like that?

I would have liked to have studied architecture, but decided on engineering instead... I really must pick up a few good books on architecture, I could do with a new interest
