I passed alonge the recipe for the fizzy fukkerupper at Ringos equal parts Kahlua, Vodka, and beer in a 10 ounce tumbler on the rocks--Tastes just like black licorice :D

I have lived my entire life in the US in the follwong states

1) Kansas
2) Nebraska
3) Oklahoma
4) Texas
5) Colorado
6) New York
7) Georgia

Have had extended stays in (2 + weeks straight)
1) South Carolina
2) Wyoming
3) Arizona
4) Utah

That's a pretty good list. Are you in the military, or military family?

As for states long term, I have lived in California, namely just Northern or Southern California on the coast so that's fairly boring. Long term outside of the US, it was university for a semester in England.

As for extended stays in the US outside of California, I have the short list of Kauai, Reno and Las Vegas NV, and Washington, DC. Outside the US for extended stays, I put on my list several cities in Japan, Wales, and Northern Ireland. For very short stopovers, then I would add Bangor Maine, Vancouver BC, Oahu HI, Virginia, and Maryland.

Nope, no military connections, family just liked to move around quite a bit:)

One day, I would like to get out of the US just to visit some other countries

Will say it's interestig to read the replies in this thread

Mostly Southern California, with a nine year stint in Austin, Texas. As far as short term, I once spent a month in Wichita, Kansas, and end up there every year for a week or two.

If I have any regrets, it's that I didn't explore more of the world before I settled down.

St. Paul (Twin Cities area) is a great place to live. I hope to get a job in the cities when I graduate this fall.

Yeah, it really is. I am grateful for it, just wish I could have a little more excitement in my life.

I do however live on the East Side of Saint Paul, which is considered the hellhole of Saint Paul (even though it really isn't bad), but we are proud a proud people. :D

How about that poor sap who lived, long term in 9 states?

That would really suck in my book. I don't mind short term vacations, but having to move out of a house or apartment, with all my stuff/family's stuff, and setting up house nine times? That sounds brutal, especially if that person is young.

oh i didn't include my numerous moves within those states but you are right, it sucks moving

movings tough, dont get me started on times i have moved from one house to another!, its probably in the high 20's. never realize how much crap you have either. its daunting packing

just iin colorado i had 10 residences in my 10 years living there (3 seperate cities)

nebraska, i lived in 3 seperate cities, 4 houses

kansas, 3 residences, 2 cities

georgia, 3 residences, 2 cities

oklahoma, 1 residence 1 city

texas, 1 residence, 1 city

ny, 1 residence, 1 city

so mid 20's not bad lol

That's a lot of moving. I did a lot of programs in junior college and university where I had to move, but I traveled light like many college students so those were not really full on moves.

The only time I moved with everything I owned was when I was a kid and moved across town. A lot of my stuff is still at my folks place in storage as it has been for decades. Lots of junk like toy cars, Boy Scout uniforms and tents, and old LPs.

Oh I see. I mostly only lived in West Salem, by the high school and by Burley Hill.

I did student teaching wood/auto/ceramics/physical science at McKay Reading at Lamb and Earth science at Whittaker for a few terms, I heard West Salem had an interesting automotive program involving electric cars.

'Home' for all 21 of my years has been the same house in small-town Connecticut, though we also had apartments in Manhattan and Switzerland when I was younger. I'm a dual citizen with Switzerland and even if I've never lived there permanently I've been there at least once every year since I was 6 months old.

Schenectady, NY for college, also studied in France last year.

While I never personally took any class in the automotive program, from my short experience at that school I'd say they have a cutting edge high school engineering program. I bet we'll be hearing good ideas and innovations come from graduates of that school in the next ten years.

Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada (born there)
Salt Lake City, Utah, U.S.
Traverse City, Michigan, U.S.
Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
Oberlin (Cleveland) Ohio, U.S.
Chicago, Illinois, U.S.
Phoenix, Arizona, U.S.
Olathe (Kansas City), Kansas, U.S.
London, UK

And possibly moving again soon to somewhere in Switzerland, but that's still up in the air...

I've only ever lived in Ontario, Canada. Lots of different places in Ontario - but never out of province or the US.
